Thing's I Have Loved In March 2017

We are now a quarter of the way through the year, spring is in the air and the days seem to be whizzing on by at record breaking speed lately. March was another strange month for me, I was unwell yet again and it meant that we did not do a lot as a family. Anyway, spring is now in the air, the sun is peeking out from behind the clouds and I am so looking forward to the warmer weather as everything seems so much better when the sun is shining. So let's have a look at some of the things that I have been loving from the month gone by.

1.) Nursery Farm Visit

My middle child Sophia went on her very first nursery school trip this week to the local farm and I went along with her. She was super duper excited and she had such a great day, it was so lovely watching her run around having fun with her friends and seeing her have such fun. She is such an animal lover and she was first in line to see and touch all of the animals on the farm, she got to feed a baby lamb, cuddle a guinea pig, fell in love with a mouse, stroked a snake and had a big, hairy, tarantula on her head!

2.) Beauty and the Beast

I love Disney films and I was so excited for the new Beauty and the Beast film to be released, I remember going to see the original when I was a child myself. Myself and my teen went to see the film recently and we both thoroughly enjoyed it, I can't wait for it to come out on DVD.

3.) Mothers Day

I don't normally celebrate mothers day as I miss my own mum but this year I was ok, obviously I did still miss her but it was nice to spend the day with my own children. The day did not really go to plan and I did not end up with the lazy relaxing day that I had planned but it was nice spending time with my children and they did try and make the day nice for me which is all that matters.

4.) New Stair Carpet

stair carpet

This sounds like such a boring and grown up thing to say but I love our new stair carpet. The new house did not have a stair carpet it just had varnished wooden stairs and I hated walking on them so we eventually got around to getting a new carpet fitted and it is so much better. I still hate the walls though but we are leaving them until all the renovations are complete.

5.) Broadchurch

I can't believe that I have only just discovered Broadchurch, I kept hearing people go on about it and I was hooked straight away. I ended up binge-watching the first two series on Sky box sets in a week as I liked it that much.

6.) Reading

I have always been such a bookworm, ever since I was a child I loved nothing more than getting lost in a good book. Since having my little two I have not been reading much, recently I got back into reading and I feel so much happier now that I am spending time reading again, I feel more relaxed and it is actually making me want to start blogging properly again too.

7.) Surprise Flowers

The other half is not at all romantic, he never buys me gifts or anything so I was pleasantly surprised when he came home with flowers recently. Unfortunately, it looks like Sophia has hayfever as she had an allergic reaction to them, the thought was nice though.

8.) Ben & Holly Live

We went to see Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom Live at Tyne theatre and opera house and Sophia and Jacob adored it. It was the first time we have taking Jacob to the theatre and he had such fun, it was lovely watching them both get into the show and having a great time.

9.) Chloe Driving Lesson

Young drivers lesson Newcastle Gosforth Park

My teen Chloe had a young drivers driving lesson at Newcastle racecourse in Gosforth recently which she really enjoyed. It was so strange watching her drive as she is only 14 but she was a natural and now can't wait to get behind the wheel for real in a few years time.

10.) Discharged From Paediatrician

I have not really mentioned this on the blog but my three-year-old Sophia has been under the care of a paediatrician for over a year now and she finally got discharged this month. She has pica, low iron, reflex anoxic seizures and a speech delay. She was also getting tested for ASD which she doesn't have and everything else has been improving too which we are so relieved about as she is such a happy, special little girl.

So that is what I have been loving in March, a bit different to what I loved in February. What made you happy this month?
