10 Netflix Shows Worth Binge-Watching

I don't know about you but January is a month where we spend a lot of time at home as the weather is a bit rubbish and we are a bit skint after Christmas. I am such a home-body though and actually like staying at home although it can get boring at times I do love nothing more than getting cosy on the sofa on an evening when the children are in bed and binge-watching a series on Netflix. At the moment I don't have any series to watch so if you have any recommendations of must-see Netflix shows then be sure to let me know in the comments below.

If you too are looking to get stuck into a new Netflix series then here are ten Netflix series that I have enjoyed binge-watching over the past few months.

2020 Goals

I am totally late to the party here but for the last few weeks, I have been pondering about what I want to achieve this year. There are so many things that I would like to improve in my life but I am not really a one for resolutions (I always end up breaking them). Plus I always think January is a daft time to start making changes as its a bit of a miserable month, the weather is rubbish, everyone is a bit skint after Christmas and if your house is anything like mine it will still be full of treats from Christmas.

February seems a much better month to make changes in my opinion so I have been thinking about the goals I want to achieve in 2020. I always think goals are a much better way to improve your life then resolutions, as goals are something you can work towards throughout the year.

So here are some of the things I want to achieve in the year ahead.

Refreshing Your Home For The New Year

Guest Post

If you're not too keen on the whole 'new year new me' thing but still feel like you could do with shaking off the cobwebs of the last decade, then a little sprucing up of your living space may be just what you're in need of. The new year brings with it a new sense of the refreshed and revamped and a lick of paint and a fresh interior can really make you feel ready for the new decade, fully equipped with a cosy home to sit back and relax in.

Risk it with Wallpaper

Wallpaper is a bit daunting for a lot of us as it's a bit of a commitment and requires a little more effort than a lick of paint, but it brings to the table (or the room) something a little extra with the effort you've put in. Wallpaper gives your home more character and a burst of colour that will bring real vitality into your space. Choosing something a little more out there and taking the plunge when it comes to colour can really change the way you feel about a room that may be lacking in the design department. By even just papering one wall, you can create a feature that speaks for itself, gives you a focal point and breathes new life into your home.

Taking Care Of My Health In 2020

Collaborative Post

Now that it is a brand new year and everyone is talking of resolutions and goals for the year ahead it got me thinking about what my goals for the year ahead are. I am so bad at always making New Years Resolutions and breaking them so I much prefer the idea of creating achievable goals for the year ahead that I can work on throughout the year. This year my main goal is to work on my health.

So many people have goals and/or resolutions this year to lose three stone or drop two dress sizes or run a marathon. I don't have any of those goals, me and fitness do not go well together and while I would like to lose weight that is not what I am focusing on. I am simply going to focus on being healthier.

A Look Back On 2019

At the start of the New Year, I always like to look back on the year gone by, it doesn't seem so long ago that I wrote about 2018 and now here we are in 2020 writing about 2019 - time please slow down a little. 2019 was a funny old year for us, it started off well and the highlight was most definitely our wedding in the summer (best day ever!). Thing's kind of went down-hill a bit after the wedding though and it has been a very stressful few months and my mental health has suffered massively so I took a huge step back from blogging and online life last year. I ended the year feeling thankful that I have my family and determined to make this year a much better year for us all.

Anyway here is a look back on 2019

Things I Loved December 2019

We are now a week into 2020 and after a lovely break from the online world over the festive period I am back blogging and I feel so much better after the break. 2019 was a bit of a mixed bag for us, the first half of the year was good and we got married in the summer which was the highlight of the year for us. However, the second half of the year was not so great and as a result, this blog was majorly neglected but now I am back and I am going to blog more often again as I have missed it.

One thing that I did manage to do each month last year was write my monthly 'things I loved' posts, as these are a nice way to record the happy moments from the month gone by. Even when you have had a rubbish month there are always things to be thankful for and that made you happy and these posts are my way of recording the happy moments. So let's have a look at the things I loved in December 2019.

10 Most Popular Blog Posts Of 2019

At the start of each year, I always sit down and look at my analytics to see which of my blog posts performed well and which not so well. It is always super useful as it lets me know what kind of content performs best and helps me plan what kind of posts to write more of this year. I normally get a surprise when I work out which posts perform well as sometimes the most unlikely posts perform the best. This year an old recipe post from 2015 received 46,400 views on my blog this year alone, the photos in it are shocking and it is an old post but for some reason, it keeps getting daily hits via Pinterest.

My second most popular post with 18,500 views this year is my review of Pirates Village Hotel in Majorca. This was a holiday we had paid for ourself and went on in 2018, we had booked it a year in advance and we had been so looking forward to it and it was a brilliant first holiday for the little two. All of the other posts I wrote about the trip performed really well this year too.

However, I only like to include posts written from the past year in my most popular posts so here is a look at the most-read posts from my blog in 2019.
