It feels like I have not blogged in such a long time, this month has been so busy that I just have not had the time to blog.  I have not sat down and written a post in weeks and I now have some serious catching up to do and so many emails to reply too. To get me back into the swing of blogging again I thought that I would write about some of the thing's that I have loved from the month gone by.

What Career Path Would Suit Your Cat? #WhiskasCareerDay

If your cat had a career what would it be? This was a question I was recently asked by Whiskas, after thinking of what our family cat Marmalade's personality is like I decided that his perfect job would be a security guard. Marmalade is seven years old now, so I guess you could class him as middle aged in cat years. He is my eldest daughter Chloe's cat and we have had him since he was a tiny little kitten, so we have seen his personality grow and know exactly what he is like as he is an indoor cat who likes to make his presence known.

Turtle Bay Newcastle Review

Last year Turtle Bay opened in Newcastle, in the old Co-op building outside the Gate complex and I have been meaning to visit for ages, I have heard so many great things about the food and cocktails. Last Thursday I eventually got around to visiting and we were greeted by the super friendly manager Steve and shown to a table which instantly made us feel welcome. Turtle Bay has a lovely relaxed atmosphere with reggae music in the background and a Jamaican look about it, groups of friends, couples and families were relaxing enjoying drinks or meals together. 

A Wacky Warehouse Birthday Party

A couple of week's ago, my middle child, Sophia turned four years old! To celebrate her birthday she had a party at our local Wacky Warehouse soft play which is at the Wheatsheaf pub near Newcastle airport, about 15 minutes away from where we live. We had never actually been to this Wacky Warehouse branch before so had no idea what to expect, so read on to see what we thought.

May 2017

May seem's to have passed by in a flash, I am not sure if it was because of the two bank holidays or because we have been super busy lately. I know I say this every single month but I can not believe how fast the year is whizzing by and that it is now June! May was a really nice month and we actually managed a full month with no illnesses. Sophia turned four, we went on a little holiday and we have had lots of day's out in the sunshine. We have so many lovely things planned for June too, so let's have a look at what May was like for us.

A few days ago I posted about how excited I was to be going to see Disney On Ice presents Passport to Adventure This October at Newcastle's Metro Radio Arena. It really does sound like a not-to-be-missed show that the whole family will enjoy.

My youngest son Jacob is two years old and I have to say that these precious, short toddler years are amazing. Every day I love seeing the world through his eyes, watching him grow and learn new things whilst discovering the world around him, every day is an adventure and he sees the good in everyone and everything. His zest for life is infectious, although, like most toddlers he can be loud, energetic and likes to wake at 5.30 am every single morning, he is a little bundle of energy always on the go.
