Other Bloggers Family Lives Featuring Janine's Little World

This week on Other Bloggers Family Lives I am featuring the really lovely and friendly Janine from Janine's Little Word. I have been reading Janine's blog for a while now and she blogs about her family life in Ireland, reviews, interiors, recipes and parenting topics.

So let's find out more about the family behind Janine's Little World.

Blogger Janine's Little World

1.) Tell me a bit about yourself and your family?

My name is Janine, I am a mum of two. There is Matthew who was born in August 2012 and there is Chloe who joined our family in February 2015. I work as a customer support executive 5 days a week. I am engaged and we are planning another attempt of our wedding as previously our venue closed down when we were supposed to get married in July. We have two cats called Bailey and Missy, the kids love them.

2.) Where do you live?

We moved recently to the East of Ireland, due to my hubby to be's work. We did live in the North West of Ireland in a small town called Sligo.

3.) What is your favourite thing to do as a family where you live?

We used to love going to the beach as we lived 5 minutes drive away. We enjoy going to local restaurants and for walks.

4.) If you could live anywhere where would you?

My fiance will probably agree to this 110% as I am always happy when the sun is out. For that reason, I would love to own a house/apartment in Spain. If I would have known the language I would have moved to Spain rather than Ireland.

5.) Did you grow up close to where you live now and what are your favourite childhood memories of where you grew up?

No, I grew up in Germany, in the North East part of the country. I have so many lovely childhood memories. I spent a lot of time with my grandad when I was a child. Our property was quite big so I spent my free time outside in the garden or yard building stuff, sleeping in a tent overnight and harvesting our fruit and veg.

6.) Have you got any exciting family plans for the year ahead?

We will probably go abroad in the summer as the kids are easy enough on the aeroplane, we only live 40 minutes away from the airport. There is so much more to do around Dublin then there was in Sligo for the kids too. I am planning to get Matthew started on swimming lessons because he loved it on holiday in Spain.

7.) What is your favourite thing about family life?

I love having time together at the weekend. As we both work full-time we don't get a huge amount of time during the week with the kids. For that reason, we try and make the most of it during the weekends.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer these questions Janine, I really enjoyed reading your answers. My dad's family are from Dublin so I love hearing about your life there as I have fond memories of visiting myself as a child and hope to return soon. Your childhood back in Germany sounds wonderful and I would totally move somewhere like Spain too if I could as it is such a different way of life than here in the UK. I hope your all settling into your new home well and that you enjoy exploring your new area during the summer months.
