Mothers Day Shopping At Silverlink Shopping Park

This Sunday is Mothers Day and if you are still looking for a gift for your loved one then a trip to Silverlink retail park is sure to help you out. Living in Tyneside I often visit the Silverlink shopping park, located in Wallsend near the Tyne Tunnel, as it is easy to get too and has a great selection of shops and restaurants along with plenty of free parking. As a Mam I find shopping here so much easier than going into Newcastle city centre, as we can park close to the store we want and it is just a much easier shopping experience when you have young children.

Silverlink shopping Park is home to many big branded stores such as Marks & Spencers, Boots, Argos, New Look, H&M, River Island, JD sports, Mothercare, Curry's Pc world, Halfords, Hobbycraft, Sports Direct, Poundworld, Wilko, Next, Scs, Sofaology, Wren kitchen and Harveys. There really is so much choice and it is perfect for a quick shopping trip or a big shopping spree when you have the car on hand for all the shopping bags.

On Tuesday night I visited Silverlink with my girls to do a bit of shopping for mothers day and to pick some items that I liked the look of. First stop was Marks & Spencers who had a great selection of Mothers Day items on display as soon as you enter. My three-year-old Sophia instantly took a shine to a rather cute animal flower pot that she insisted on buying for me.

They had some beautiful bouquets of flowers that would make such a lovely gift idea. They had some rather yummy looking mothers day themed cakes which would make a lovely tea time treat for the whole family to enjoy.

Whilst browsing the home range I came across these stylish initial mugs and I just had to get a one for myself. I love receiving mugs from my children on mothers day as they are something that I use all of the time and let's face it you can never have too many mugs if you're a coffee addict like me. I also picked up some chocolates too as it just wouldn't be mothers day without some chocolates.

Next up we visited Next and I spied this lovely yellow handbag which I think is perfect for springtime to brighten up my outfits. I find that useful gifts like bags and purses make great gift ideas as again they are something that will be used a lot and that will be appreciated. There were so many lovely gifts and cosy pj's in Next that I could have brought so much more, I seriously love that shop - although I normally spend all my money on the brilliant kidswear.

I noticed that Boots had some lovely gift sets in and New Look had some stylish clothing and homewares in which would make ideal gifts. If you still have a present to buy your mum or partner this mothers day and your short on time then I really do recommend a trip to the Silverlink, as I am sure you will be able to find a lovely gift in no time at all.

Have you visited Silverlink recently?

Silverlink Shopping Park is currently open Mondy-Friday 9am-9pm, Saturday 9am-7pm and Sunday's 11am-5pm.

  1. Do you know what - I always go to Newcastle or the Metro Centre and never think to visit the Silverlink anymore. I used to visit every weekend when I lived in Wallsend!
