Welcome to another week of my guest post series Other Bloggers Family Lives, this week I am featuring the super lovely Emily from Emily And Indiana. Emily is actually one of the very first bloggers that I came across when I started blogging, I have read her blog from day one and have loved watching her daughter Indiana grow from a tiny baby to an almost three year old! I have also loved reading about Emily's wedding and her whole pregnancy and first year of her adorable son Parkers life too. Emily and Indiana is such a lovely blog all about family life with two toddlers, family days out, travel and family lifestyle posts, she also has a popular Youtube channel covering similar subjects.
So let's find out more about the family behind Emily and Indiana.
1.) Tell me a bit about yourself and your family?
I'm Emily and I'm married to a wonderful man called Jack. Together we have two little ones - Indiana who will be 3 in November and Parker who has just turned 1.
2.) Where do you live?
We live in Kent, in the South East of England.
3.) What is your favourite thing to do as a family where you live?
We joined The National Trust at the end of last year, so we're always visiting local properties. Knole Park is probably our favourite, as our two love looking for the deer and exploring the house.
4.) If you could live anywhere where would you?
To be honest I don't think I could imagine living anywhere else! We're only 45 minutes from both London and the seaside. We're in a town, but can drive just a few minutes to find country walks and fresh air. Although I would love a summer house in Cornwall.
5.) Did you grow up close to where you live now and what are your favourite childhood memories of where you grew up?
I still live in the same town I spent most of my childhood in, and actually only a 5 minute drive from my parents house. We moved a lot when I was younger. One memory that I always remember is running to the park on summer evenings calling to the hot air balloons to 'blow their fire' if they could hear us. They most likely couldn't, but we tried our hardest anyway!
6.) Have you got any exciting family plans for the year ahead?
Last year was full of excitement for us, with Parker being born and our wedding. There really hasn't been much to top that really. Although we are hoping to take the kids to Disney next year!
7.) What is your favourite thing about family life?
I love just spending days out as a family. There's nothing like watching the excitement in your children's faces, as they experience different things - especially when they're memories you remember having as a child yourself. Don't get me wrong, it can be really tough at times. But it is SO worth it!
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer these questions Emily, I loved reading your answers. I have never visited Kent before but it sounds the perfect location with so much to see and do nearby. I hope that you get to visit Disney next year, that will be such fun and a great family adventure. I totally agree seeing your children enjoy something you loved as a child too is totally amazing to watch.
