My little boy recently turned 3-years-old and like most children his age he loves being outdoors and playing on ride on's and scooters. So when we were recently sent a Yvolution Y Glider Refresh Deluxe Scooter to review he could not wait to have a scoot about on it.
The Y Glider scooter is for children aged 3 + and can be used both indoors and outdoors and is perfect for helping little ones develop balance and coordination skills. They are perfect for first-time scooter riders as they have 'lean to steer' steering which helps little ones learn how to steer. You can also change the steering from loose to firm as children develop.
When you open the box the scooter is pretty much all set up, meaning children can start scooting in no time. It also came with a set of bright wheel and deck inserts which you can use to customise the scooter wheels to make them very colourful.
Jacob managed to scoot along on this scooter in no time at all, it feels really sturdy and is lightweight enough for him to manoeuvre easily. It has wide rear wheels and easy grip handlebars for stability and a wide non-slip footplate which makes things safer for young children.
So what did we think?
Jacob loved this scooter he really likes the colour and the brightly coloured inserts that he has added to the wheels. He has managed to scoot along on this scooter no problem at all and he seems really stable and safe on it, it does not seem to wobble or anything when he is riding it. He easily worked out how to work the scooter and was speeding off down the cycle track in no time at all.
My four-year-old daughter has a scooter from a well-known brand that was more than three times the price of the Yvolution Y Glider and I have to say that I think the Yvolution scooter is better than the more expensive one we have.
If you are thinking of buying your child a scooter for Christmas this year then I really do recommend the Yvolution Y Glider Deluxe, I really can not fault it and my son loves it.
You can buy the Yvolution Y Glider Deluxe from Toys R Us for £29.99 which I think is amazing value.
Disclosure we were sent this scooter for the purpose of this review, however, all opinions are my own.
