Welcome to another week of my guest post series Other Bloggers Family Lives. This week I am featuring a blog that I love to read, Belle Du Brighton. I discovered Lauren's blog a couple of years ago now back when she was pregnant with her little boy Arlo (adore that name), I have loved seeing him grow from bump to toddler. Lauren's blog is all about her family life with two young children and is a great mix of travel, interiors and review posts.
So let's find out more about the family behind Belle Du Brighton.
1.) Tell me a bit about yourself and your family?
We're a family of four, I'm Lauren and my husband is Sam. he's four years younger than me and people always seem interested in that fact although we rarely even remember! We have two kids, Athena who was 3 in June and Arlo who is 1.
2.) Where do you live?
We live on the (sometimes) sunny South Coast, about 14 minutes walk from the beach!
3.) What is your favourite thing to do as a family where you live?
Go to the beach! Or the park ... there are some great ones near us! Sandy ones, dinosaur themed ones, ones with splash pads ... one day the kids will be old enough for me to take a book whilst they get on with things on their own. We also love to go on rambles on the South Downs.
4.) If you could live anywhere where would you?
Canada! My husband loves to snowboard so he'd be happy and all the Canadians I've met are just lovely, as well as the scenery.
5.) Did you grow up close to where you live now and what are your favourite childhood memories of where you grew up?
Actually, I did, I grew up in a village in West Sussex and moved to Brighton in my 20s. My memories are of walking around Swanbourne lake in Arundel and spending happy days on the beach in Littlehampton.
6.) Have you any exciting family plans for the year ahead?
A road trip to the Lake District via Drayton Manor and Blackpool! Hopefully, our kids will have cured themselves of their travel sickness by then!
7.) What is your favourite thing about family life?
Watching these two little people grow up, learn things, do funny or amazing things. Often Sam and I look at each other and go "we made her" in amazement!
Thank you so much for taking part Lauren, I loved reading your answers. My partner is 5 years younger than me too and like you and Sam we always forget about it but others find it interesting. The parks sound amazing where you live, we have nothing like that where we live and I would love to be within walking distance of the beach too.

Loved reading through your answers. I would love to live in Canada too for similar reasons - although it would be more for skiing than snowboarding :) Must be so hard to get out and about with travel sickness, hope they grow out of that soon xxx
ReplyDeleteYay to Arlo's! Brighton is one of my favourite places too.

How amazing to live in Brighton - I was born there and always cursed my parents for moving away when I was one!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband is a year younger than me and the only one that goes on about it, is him!! Oh I wish I lived 14 minutes from the beach X
ReplyDeleteI love reading about the person behind the blog. My hubby always jokes that he's my toyboy even though he's only 6 months younger than me! :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to visit Brighton but it's such a pain to get to from where we live as we don't drive
ReplyDeleteThis is so nice, I really enjoy reading posts like this and getting an insight into their lives. I wish I lived that close to a beach, I would be in heaven!
