Frozen Northern Lights Elsa Doll Review

Can you believe that it has been 3 years since Frozen was released at the cinema? I remember going to see it with my eldest and Frozen fever is still as strong as ever with little ones all over the world. My three-year-old daughter has always liked Frozen but ever since she went to see Disney on ice Frozen a few months ago she has become Elsa crazy. She sings "let it go" non-stop, she constantly asks to watch the film and she even has a Frozen Elsa coat. So imagine her utter delight when we were recently sent an amazing box full of Frozen goodies to celebrate the release of brand new Lego animation Frozen Northern Lights on Disney Junior.

Included in the box we received a beautiful personalised Elsa bauble from the Disney shop, which I love so much and makes such a lovely addition to our Christmas tree. We were also sent a Frozen magazine, a fleece Frozen blanket to snuggle in on cold winter evenings to watch the show and best of all a new Frozen Northern Lights Elsa doll, which is set to be one of this years must have toys!

Sophia's little face lit up when she spied the Elsa doll and she tore her out of the box before I could take a photo, she was that excited. Elsa is a similar size to the toddler dolls we reviewed earlier in the year, she is dressed in her famous blue dress and with her hair styled similar to the film. She comes with an interactive snowflake which changes colour when you wave your hand over and can also be used to activate Elsa to make her sing and talk. She says 40 different phrases from the new Northern Lights show and film and she sings her iconic song Let It Go.

Elsa's dress lights up and changes colour when she talks and sings which Sophia finds amazing. The doll comes complete with batteries but you did need to add batteries to the snowflake (3 AAA) to be able to play and interactive fully. You can use the doll in either demo mode or interactive mode and it also has an off switch too. Sophia is only three and she quickly managed to work out how to interact with Elsa and the snowflake on her own.

The Frozen Northern Lights Elsa doll is such a beautiful doll that is so beautifully made and so like the film character. The interactive features, lights and sounds will delight any Frozen fan and any Frozen fan would sure to be delighted to receive this doll under the tree at Christmas. Sophia certainly loves her very much and has not stopped playing with her since we received her.

You can buy the Jakks Pacific Frozen Northern Lights Elsa Doll from all leading toy retailers, she has an RRP of £39.99 but I have seen her on offer in a few stores in the lead up to Christmas so it may be worth shopping around.

Don't forget to check out Disney Junior to watch Lego Frozen Northern Lights as my two little ones absolutely love it! And thank you so much to Jakks Pacific and Norton & Co for sending us this lovely bundle and making my little girl think that Christmas had come early.

Disclosure we were sent these items for the purpose of this post, however all opinions are my own.
