Welcome to week three of my new blog series Other Bloggers Family Lives, this week I am pleased to feature the lovely Cliona who blogs at Purity Belle. Cliona and her daughter's |
1.) Tell me a bit about yourself and your family?
I'm Cliona, I'm 47 and a mum to two gorgeous girls who are 20 and 14. My husband is Mark and we're together over 20 years at this stage which seems incredible! I have my own business making soy candles and I love to upcycle and try different crafts. I also work 3 days a week in an office.
2.) Where do you live ?
We live in Country Kildare, Ireland. We moved here from Dublin originally to be near to a local Steiner Waldorf school and I've never regretted the move. I love to be in the countryside but we live in a small town so have the best of both worlds.
3.) What is your favourite thing to do as a family where you live?
We're near so many lovely places to visit, the Curragh of Country Kildare is very near us so we often go for walks there. It's a flat open plain and often associated with horse racing but also great for walks and I run there too.
4.) If you could live anywhere where would you?
Honestly, I love where I live and don't really want to be anywhere else. If I was extremely rich though I would probably buy a little apartment in Paris too.
5.) Did you grow up close to where you live now and what are your favourite childhood memories of where you grew up?
I grew up in Dublin and I guess the best part of that was being near the city, so lots to do and see. We were also very near the Phoenix Park and I've lots of lovely memories of going there with my mum and dad.
6.) Have you any exciting family plans for the year ahead?
2015 was a strange year for us as I was really ill so I guess I'm hoping 2016 will be fairly calm and peaceful and I just really want to enjoy the little things. Although we are planning to go to Spain for the first time which should be cool!
7.) What is your favourite thing about family life?
I guess maybe it's feeling safe and I love hanging out with my girls because we laugh at the same things.
Thank you so much for taking part Cliona I loved reading your answers and finding out more about your family and where you live. It sound's beautiful where you live, I adore Ireland as my dad's family are from Dublin and I use to visit as a child. I hope that this year is a year of better health for you and you all enjoy your holiday in Spain.
