Forever Memory Bear Baby Clothes Bear

Updated 2017 - Forever Memory Bears no longer seem to be in business.

One of the things I loved in pregnancy was buying tiny cute outfits, it was exciting thinking my unborn child would soon be wearing them. The baby days pass by so quickly and soon those tiny newborn clothes don't fit anymore and even though they no longer fit, us parents find it so hard to part with some of the treasured clothes our little ones once wore. We often pack them away where they get forgotten about.

So when I was recently contacted by Forever Memory Bears and asked if I would like to get some of my son's old baby clothes turned into a bear I readily agreed. Picking the clothes was so hard as I have kept so many of his old baby clothes and you only need 7 items of newborn clothing to make a bear. In the end, I picked all the newborn clothes (mainly babygrows) that I remember him wearing often as a baby, including the panda babygrow he wore when he was first born.

Ordering your bear is really easy as you just head to the website, select what kind of bear you would like as they also do a bunny, football bears, uniform bears and Loving memory bears made from loved ones who have passed away clothing. You then place your order where you will be sent an e-mail straight away and which you can fill in some details to make the bear personalised and also to say how many items of clothing you are sending.

You then send your clothing items off in the post to the Forever Memory Bear Headquarters address, which is giving to you when you place your order, I sent mine via royal mail signed for. I then got notified that the items had arrived safely and just over a week later I got an e-mail to say my bear was complete and on his way home via courier.

The bear arrived in a gift box which was beautifully wrapped with ribbon and tissue paper and came complete with its own certificate which was a nice touch. Nestled in the box was the most gorgeous bear, it was so much bigger then I thought that it would be at 34 cm when in a sitting position. The quality of the bear was amazing and I could not believe that it was made out of pieces of my son's clothing.

The bear has moveable arms and legs, buttons down his front and a lovely ribbon bow around his neck. Every bit of material used on the bear is pieces of Jacobs baby clothing that we sent in. I sent such a mishmash of clothing in and they have done such an amazing job of making the bear match and look amazing. It is also super soft and cuddly too and you can tell so much care and attention to detail has been taking when creating this.

I love looking at this bear as I remember and have photos of Jacob wearing all the clothing the bear is made from, which brings back happy memories of those early baby days. The bear is for Jacob but as it is not a toy and is a special keepsake, that we don't want to get ruined we are planning on keeping it on display in his bedroom. I think it is such a lovely item that we can treasure forever and is such a lovely way to keep memories alive, rather than have special clothing stuffed away out of sight and forgotten about.

I think that a Forever Memory Bear would make such a lovely gift for something like a child's birthday, Christening or just as a special gift. I love anything that has sentimental value and can be kept and treasured for many years to come and this bear certainly does that. Each bear is made with such care and it really shows as everyone who has seen it has commented on just how lovely he is.

handmade baby clothes bear from forever memory bears

Bears start from £65 for a baby clothes bear like mine, but you can pay for extra features such as voice recording boxes that can be placed in the bear and for personalisation. As each bear is individually made by hand I think that they are totally worth the price and I will be ordering another bear in the future from both my daughter's old clothes too. Luckily I have a voucher available for my readers that will give you £25 off your own Forever Memory Bear, meaning it would cost you just £40 for a one like mine which is amazing!

Disclosure I was kindly sent this bear free of charge for the purpose of this review, however, all views are my own.
