Crazy Putt Adventure Golf Morpeth

Crazy Putt Adventure Mini Golf is a pirate themed 18-hole outdoor mini golf courses in Morpeth Northumberland and it is so much fun for the whole family. Located at Morpeth golf centre this mini golf course is open seven days a week and is one of the most fun mini golf courses we have tried.

The course is called Sparrow Island and the pirate theming is brilliant, expect to see giant skull water features, pirate boats, treasure chests, pirates, a whale and water rafts you have to use to cross the water. The whole course is surrounded by water (it is not deep) to keep with the theming and give a island illusion.

As you make your way around the 18-hole course the holes do get a bit more difficult, but it is all good fun. We did loose a few balls into the shallow water surrounding the course but there was metal rods with nets on dotted around the course to use to retrieve your balls from the water.

I visited with my three children who were aged 22, 10 and 12 when we visited and all of us had good fun and enjoyed this course. The course was really clean and tidy and we all liked the theming. There was lots of photo opportunities - you could put your heads in stocks etc as you made your way around the course.

As I mentioned the course is surrounded by shallow water so on two occasions you have to go in a small wooden raft and use the rope attached to pull yourself across to the next hole - my children managed this fine and thought it was great fun.

It took us about an hour to complete the course but there is no time limits you just make your way around the course at your own speed. I wouldn't say that it is not very accessible as it can be a bit uneven and narrow in places and you have to use the rafts to travel around the course.

We prebooked tickets online the morning we visited and when we arrived we just went to the onsite clubhouse cafe where we give our name and were given clubs and golf balls. At the end we just dropped them back off at the cafe.

We visited the onsite clubhouse cafe after we had played golf and it was really well priced the children got hot dogs which cost just £3 each. The cafe served drinks, cakes, light bites and ice creams etc. They also have toilets located in the cafe and there is plenty of free onsite parking available.
