Ninja Warrior Teesside Review

 AD - Invited.

Did you know that there is a Ninja Warrior adventure park here in the North East? Located in Stockton this indoor adventure park is just like the popular ITV TV show obstacle course and is  tons of fun for active kids and grown ups.

Located in Teesside Leisure Park in Stockton-on-Tees Ninja Warrior is about an hours drive from Newcastle. There is plenty of free on site parking and as it is indoors it is perfect for a rainy day activity the whole family will enjoy.

What Is Ninja Warrior?

Ninja Warrior Adventure Park is a big indoor obstacle course based on the popular ITV TV programme Ninja Warrior - where contestants battle around an assault course. Obviously it is tamed down a bit compared to the actual TV show version of the course but they still have a wall for you to climb and lots of different obstacles to clear.

The park is split up into two - one part is a fixed obstacle style course  with things such as monkey bars, beams to walk across, ropes and hanging walkways to tackle as well as the wall to run up and clear - they have a smaller one for children and then a bigger one. Will you beat the wall?

The other section of the park is a giant inflatable area which is also based on the TV show, with walls to climb, giant bouncy balls to jump across and obstacles to tackle.

Visiting Ninja Warrior Teesside

On arrival you are giving a coloured wristband and sessions last for one or two hours depending on how long you booked. You need to buy grip socks (they cost £2.95). You watch a safety briefing so it is recommended you arrive about 20 minutes before your session start time and then you are free to explore the courses in your own time.

I visited with my 11 year old son and his friend and they both had a great time completing the courses. Children under 12 must have an adult on site with them, however you can spectate from the cafe / viewing area free of charge for older children / teens.

There was photo opportunities with podiums and there was staff on hand supervising around the park. You are free to make your way around the obstacles in your own time and you can go back to them as often as you like during your session. I think my son climbed the wall about ten times during the visit.

They have a small on-site cafe serving pizzas, hot dogs, chicken strips, waffles, kids meals and a range of drinks such as hot drinks, milkshakes, smoothies, slush, soft drinks and bubble teas. The prices were pretty good around £6.75 for a meal.

We had a lovely visit and we thought it was worth the hours drive from Newcastle for a fun day out, it was something different and the kids enjoyed it.

Need To Know

Ninja Warrior Teesside is open seven days a week, it is best to prebook sessions online in advance. You can book a one or two hour session, you also need to buy grip socks (£2.95) to be able to access the inflatable course - you need to wear trainers on the obstacle course. Children need to be aged four and over to take part in the Ninja sessions (both courses) but they do run little ninja sessions for 0-3 year olds.

They also sell merch such as headbands, sweatbands and gloves that you can use on the obstacles. There is plenty of free lockers available to store your stuff in. There is a onsite cafe which was well priced and also a small arcade area (extra charges apply).

Prices

It costs £13.95 for a one hour Ninja Session or £20.95 for a two hour session. However they often have special offers running which can make it even cheaper - so keep on eye on the Ninja Warrior website or social media pages for special offers. Spectators are free of charge however you can not prebook these tickets and you would have to ask at reception on arrival.

We had a great time, it is somewhere that I would recommend if you have active kids who enjoy competing and taking part in challenges like this. Adults can take part too and there was just as many adults as children when we visited making it a activity the whole family can enjoy together.
