Other Bloggers Family Lives Featuring Twin Mummy And Daddy

Welcome to another week of my guest post series Other Bloggers Family Lives, this week I am featuring Emily from Twin Mummy And Daddy. I have been reading Emily's blog for two years now, it was one of the very first blogs I started to read when I started blogging myself, I love reading about what her adorable twin girls have been up to.

So let's find out a bit more about the family behind Twin Mummy And Daddy.

1.) Tell me a bit about yourself and your family?

I'm Emily, I'm 29 years old and married to Nigel. We have four-year-old twin girls who were conceived via IVF. Nigel also has three children via his first wife.

I love that our twins have two older sisters and a brother. We all get on really well, it is truly awesome to see the bond between all the children.

2.) Where do you live?

We live in a quiet village in Cardiff. I've lived here all of my life and I would never ever dream of living anywhere else! We've moved a total of four times over the last few years - one of the pitfalls of renting I guess - but we have been lucky enough to be able to move around in the same area.

Our current home is my favourite out of all of the homes we've lived in. It's spacious, has a lovely garden for the girls to run around in and it's a short walk to the park, shops and school.

3.) What is your favourite thing to do as a family where you live?

I'd have to say going for walks. We like to walk to the park, well, the girls scoot on their scooters! We also walk down to the stream and play 'river sticks' where we drop a stick from the bridge into the river then wait on the other side for the stick to float down.

4.) If you could live anywhere where would you?

It'd have to be where we are now! Some people may see me as being stuck in my way, but when you find somewhere you love, you feel comfortable in and know the area and people well. I just don't see why I'd ever want to move!

5.) Did you grow up close to where you live now and what are your favourite childhood memories of where you grew up?

Yes! From the answer above, I still live in the area that I grew up in. My favourite childhood memories are of my sister and I going to the local cinema, which sadly was knocked down some time ago now. Tickets were £2.50 for any film and we loved it!

I also have fond memories of playing in the park and walking down the river with my sister, the same park and river that my children play at now!

6.) Have you got any exciting family plans for the year ahead?

Yes, lots. We have a few theatre trips planned. some day trips to farms and zoos. We have a few holidays, Majorca and hopefully Disneyland nearer Christmas!

7.) What is your favourite thing about family life?

Honestly just being able to spend time together. Whether it's being lazy, cuddling on the sofa and watching TV, playing in the garden, playing silly games or going for a walk together.

Thank you for taking part Emily I have loved reading your answers and I am exactly the same in that I don't think I would like to live in a different area either. I hope that you have a wonderful time in Majorca and get to visit Disneyland, I visited with my eldest when she was four for the Christmas parade and she loved it (so did I).
