Orchard Toys Little Bus Lotto Mini Game - Review

My almost three year old is a big fan of Orchard Toys games and puzzles so when I heard that they were bringing out a range of Mini Games I knew that these would be perfect for keeping her entertained whilst travelling this summer. Last week we were lucky enough to be sent one of the new mini game to try out, Little Bus Lotto.

Little bus lotto is suitable for children aged 3 plus and is for 2-4 players and is super simple to play. You simply pick from the red, green, yellow or blue bus and then turn all the animal cards over and take it in turns picking a card and match them up to the animals on the buses, whoever fills up their bus with all the animals first wins.

Orchard Toys Little Bus Lotto Mini Travel Game

Obviously this is a mini game so it comes in a small cardboard box that can easily fit into a backpack or handbag and is great for train or plane journeys. I also think it will be really handy when we go out for a meal for entertaining little ones whilst they wait for food to arrive, and it won't take up too much room. As with most Orchard Toys the game is made up of thick card pieces that are strong and can easily be wipe cleaned.

As I mentioned my little girl Sophia is almost three and she easily understood how to play this game and how it worked and had fun playing it with her older sister. However Sophia does have delayed speech and sees a speech therapist and we are always looking at ways to help teach her new words and put words together. We have found this game brilliant in helping with her speech, she will happily play this game on her own matching the animal cards up with the bus passengers. We have been teaching her the name of each animal when she does this and she can now clearly say all of the animal names - even aardvark.

We really liked this game, it was fun and simple to play for little ones and it was also very appealing with the friendly and bright animal characters that my little girl adores. I think these games are so handy for travelling and we will be taking this game with us when we go on the train to Edinburgh later in the week to visit the zoo, especially as we will get to see many of the animals from the game at the zoo.

After seeing how much Sophia loved these games and how they are helping her say more words we have since brought her some more Orchard Toys games and flash cards for her birthday later in the week. I will also be sure to stock up on more of these brilliant little mini games for when we go on holiday next year, as I am sure they will keep my three children entertained. Their is five more games available in the mini game collection.

You can buy your own Little Bus Lotto game from Orchard Toys and all good toy retailers for a very reasonable £4.99.

Disclosure I was sent this game for the purpose of this review, however all opinions are my own.
