Other Bloggers Family Lives Featuring DIY Daddy

Welcome to another week of my guest post series Other Bloggers Family Lives. This week I am featuring Nigel from DIY Daddy who you may recognise as I featured his lovely wife Emily from Twin Mummy & Daddy a few weeks ago. I think it is really nice when a husband and wife both blog as it is nice to find out what they both think of something.

So let's find out a bit more about the family behind DIY Daddy.

1.) Tell me a bit about yourself and your family ?

Hi I'm Nigel and I am a dad of five children including four year old twin girls. I am a painter and decorator by day and blog a lot in the night! I am married to Emily and she is the love of my life and I feel very fortunate to spend my life with her.

2.) Where do you live ?

I live in Cardiff, Wales and I love it. To me it's the best place in the world.

3.) What is your favourite thing to do as a family where you live ?

There are many things we love to do. There is a park very close to us and we love to go there with our twins. We love to go to farms nearby to pick fruit and also farms nearby where there are animals as the girls love seeing the animals. I love to also gather together and have some quality family time.

4.) If you could live anywhere where would you ?

This is difficult and we only recently talked about if we won the lottery where would we live and amazingly we concluded we would probably live in exactly the same area where we live now, but in a bigger house if we won the lottery, why not (I wish).

5.) Did you grow up close to where you live now and what are your favourite childhood memories of where you grew up ?

I grew up not far from where I live now and my childhood memories are one of being happy and just loving the city where I live. My favourite childhood memories are on the estate I grew up. There was always friends to play with and we had loads of fun.

6.) Have you got any exciting plans for the year ahead ?

We have a number of things planned. The first is our family holiday to Majorca for a week, I am very excited about this. We are also going to an open air theatre to see Peter Pan which will be brilliant. Last year we went to West Midland Safari Park and we will definitely be going back this year. It's a super family day out. We are also hopefully planning a trip to Disneyland Paris for Christmas.

7.) What is your favourite thing about family life ?

Being together as a family for special occasions, birthdays etc is always something I look forward to and with my twin girls it's amazing to watch them grow. Also seeing my older children develop into lovely adults has been a joy to watch.

Thank you so much for taking part Nigel I have loved reading your answers and finding out more about your family life in Cardiff. I have never actually visited Wales before but I keep hearing such great things about it that I really should visit someday. I hope that you all enjoy your holiday to Majorca and get to visit Disneyland this Christmas.

  1. Wow, a family of 5. I struggle with one 5 month old so I have no idea how you cope. It sounds like you have lots of good plans for the rest of the year. I would love to be going on holiday somewhere.

  2. I love spending time with the family too.. And totally understandable why he would wish to live in the same area, if he wins the lottery. I think I'm the same!
