Welcome to another week of my guest post series Other Bloggers Family Lives, this week I am featuring Sam from Travelling With Our Kids. Sam shares lots of family travel posts on her blog.
So let's find out more about the family behind Travelling With Our Kids.
1.) Tell me a bit about yourself and your family?
We are a family of 4 from Scotland. I live with my husband (Nick) and our two boys - Big K is 4.5 years old and little K has just turned 1. We also have 2 dogs and 2 rabbits! Both Nick and I work for my parents business. Nick works in our bike shop with my younger brother and I work from my parents house (travel industry related) while I look after the boys too.
2.) Where do you live?
We live in West Lothian about 30 miles from Edinburgh city centre. We have just moved from a 3 bed semi detached house in a quiet cul-de-sac to a bigger house in a new development within the same town.
3.) What is your favourite thing to do as a family where you live?
Getting outdoors, so out for walks with the dogs, out on the bikes, whatever takes our fancy. We sometimes head further a field to Callander as it's great for the kids and dogs.
4.) If you could live anywhere where would you?
Australia or France. Though I don't think I could move that far from my parents! They are the two countries growing up that I have always been interested in.
5.) Did you grow up close to where you live now and what are your favourite childhood memories of where you grew up?
I use to live near Manchester. My family and I moved to Scotland when I was 7. However my family and I have now lived in the same area for over 20 years. My favourite memories include various holidays we took and learning to ride my bike.
6.) Have you got any exciting family plans for the year ahead?
We moved in March and we also went to France on a Eurocamp holiday. Then in October we have another Eurocamp holiday to Holland. Both are new places (we have been to France several times but this time it's a new region) which we can't wait to explore.
7.) What is your favourite thing about family life?
Watching the boys grow up and seeing their personalities grow. I find it tough at times juggling work life and family life, but getting cuddles and kisses is just a great feeling. I just love seeing their eyes light up when they experience something new.
