Welcome back to this weeks instalment of Other Bloggers Family Lives, my guest post series to find out more about the blogger behind the blog. This week I am featuring Stacy who blogs at Mom of two and lives in the West Midlands with her husband and two young children, Stacy writes about her family life. So let's find out more about the family behind Mom of Two.
1.) Tell me a bit about yourself and your family?
My name is Stacy and I've been married to Jacob for 3 years and been together for 9 years. We have two beautiful children Sophie (2) and Samuel (7 months) and our newest fur baby Eevee -yes, after the Pokemon.
2.) Where do you live?
We live in the West Midlands and yes, unfortuntley have the horrible Peaky Blinders accent, although nowhere near as broad.
3.) What is your favourite thing to do as a family where you live?
There is a park just 5 minute walk away and it's lovely to take the kids there. Sophie just wants to do whatever you do so she is more than happy simply taking Eevee for a walk with her wellies on so that she can jump in muddy puddles like Peppa Pig.
4.) If you could live anywhere where would you?
Ooooh, this is a really tough one! I've never aspired to live anywhere in particular, maybe somewhere that is by the sea but also in the countryside and not too busy .... if such a place exists.
5.) Did you grow up close to where you live now and what are your favourite childhood memories of where you grew up?
Both my husband and I have grown up within a 3-mile radius of where we currently live. However, my childhood memories are all very dominated by our caravan in Wales as we pretty much spent every weekend going there. I would love to have somewhere like that for our kids. Although I'd happily settle for camping. I do love a good camp and glamp.
6.) Have you got any exciting family plans for the year ahead?
In the next 12 months, there will be a lot of things happening and changing in our household! Sophie turns 3 so she will be going to nursery school next September. We are also going on a big family holiday with my parents and brother to Spain. My maternity leave finishes next month and I will be job hunting for somewhere that will hopefully fit hours around the kids, so I don't have to fork out on childcare!
7.) What is your favourite thing about family life?
Everything. Absolutely everything. Every new word Sophie learns makes me beam like a Cheshire cat, as does every new milestone Samuel hits. Even the things I hate, like feeling like I could cry at 4am in the morning because its the 4th time I've been woken up by the kids because I know this time makes up such a short time of their life and in 5,10,15 years I will be begging for this time back.
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer these questions Stacy, it was lovely to find out more about yourself and your family. Good luck with the job hunting and I hope you all have a great time on your family holiday to Spain. I totally agree with you that the time we have with our children is so short and goes by so quickly, I wish I could rewind a couple of years and still have my children at home with me as they are now in reception and year one.
