Other Bloggers Family Lives Featuring The Smallest Of Things

This week on Other Boggers Family Lives I am featuring Amy who blogs at The Smallest Of Things, which is a family lifestyle blog. Amy blogs about life with her two young daughters, reviews and snippets of her family life. So let's find out more about the family behind The Smallest Of Things.

1.) Tell me a bit about yourself and your family?

When I'm not being a Mum I work as a room leader in a private day nursery. I have been with my partner James for 11 years, engaged for 4, we plan on someday getting married but for now, we are saving all our pennies to buy a house. In 2014 we welcomed our first baby girl, followed by our second in 2016. Whilst parenthood is one of the hardest things I have ever done, I love this life I have!

2.) Where do you live?

We live in a little village in Hertfordshire. We love it here but I'm not sure it is somewhere we would be able to afford a house.

3.) What is your favourite thing to do as a family where you live?

If I am honest there isn't much to do locally, well not that I am aware of haha! But we love nothing more than a walk around our local lake and park.

4.) If you could live anywhere where would you?

If it was a case of where would we like to buy a house it would definitely be where we currently live. Buy failing that I would love to near the coast. Imagine all that sea air!

5.) Did you grow up close to where you live now and what are your favourite childhood memories of where you grew up?

Yes, I grew up literally 5 minutes from where I live now and that's what I love about it. Everyone and everything I know is near me. We lived on a green growing up so my favourite childhood memories would probably be playing out there with friends and climbing trees.

6.) Have you got any exciting family plans for the year ahead?

My eldest starts school so I plan on squeezing in as many family adventures as possible, including one last cheapish holiday. But other than that we just take each day as it comes.

7.) What is your favourite thing to do as a family where you live?

It has to be the love I feel every day. Even when I struggle to love myself, I know they do. Plus I love the pride I feel knowing I made them.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer these questions Amy, It sounds lovely where you live. My little boy is off to school in September too and I am also trying to spend as much time with him as we can and have booked a term-time holiday. I hope you manage to get a holiday booked soon and enjoy the summer with your girls before your eldest starts school.

  5. Loved reading this! There’s not really anything local to use either, I don’t know how we can be an hours train ride out of London, but have nothing really in the area to do.
