Last month I brought you my first Parragon book buddies review of a beautiful collection of
Nursery rhymes. As a Parragon book buddie we get sent a book each month to review, as it is now October what better type of book than a Halloween one! We were sent a lovely picture book called "Pumpkins Pumpkins Everywhere" which is perfect for getting young children into the Halloween spirit.
The book is a paperback book which is bright and colourful and full of beautiful illustrations and a very simple short story to keep little ones interested. The story follows four trick-or-treaters as they make there way to a Pumpkin parade, meeting lots of different pumpkins along the way. The story is really easy for little ones to follow with only a few words on each page, but lots of fun pictures for them to look at.
My two year old daughter Sophia loved this book and she keeps looking at it and turning the pages and pointing out things she can see. As you can see from the photos she read the story whilst dressed in her new witches costume as she is really into fancy dress at the moment.
Little ones obviously don't really know what Halloween is so I think that this story is perfect for them as it will help to introduce them to Halloween, and as I mentioned get them into the Halloween spirit and make things fun for them if they are too young to go trick or treating just yet. I love seasonal books and I think that this book would make a brilliant edition to any autumn book collection. I know that my children will enjoy this story in the lead up to Halloween and for many more years to come as it perfect for pre-school aged children.
Have you got anything planned for your little ones this Halloween?
Disclosure: We were sent this book as part of the book buddies scheme, all views are my own.
