Welcome to another week of my guest post series Other Bloggers Family Lives this week I am featuring Jemma from List Of Lovely Things. Jemma's blog is full of life with three children and she has recently announced her pregnancy with baby number four.
So let's find out a bit more about the family behind List Of Lovely Things.
1.) Tell me a bit about yourself and your family?
I am Jemma and I'm married to Mr M and we have 3 children called Elodie (7), Finlay (5) and Orla (2). The big surprise for 2016 is we have another little one on the way this summer, the other little ones are super excited about this, the grown ups are more nervous!
2.) Where do you live?
We live in South East London, we've just moved and so now we're bordering the suburbs - we moved as far as we dared without feeling we'd completely moved out of London! We've bought a place that needs some serious TLC, it's a lovely light bigger space with a great garden but the downside if the yellow bathroom and hideous 1950's kitchen. It just can't quiet pass as retro cool!
3.) What is your favourite thing to do as a family where you live?
We're lucky enough to live by some gorgeous parks so we spend a lot of our time on woodland walks making dens and having picnics. But we also live fairly close to Crystal Palace and we love a mooch round the vintage shops there with a visit to the dinosaurs at the park and a drink in one of the many family friendly pubs, rounds it off nicely!
4.) If you could live anywhere where would you?
I really like where we live so I wouldn't be in a rush to move. But some days I dream of a little house somewhere super remote like the Shetland Isles and other days I long to be right in the centre of London, somewhere near Borough Market! I can never choose between green and city, maybe the perfect solution would be to have a house in both ......... I can dream!
5.) Did you grow up close to where you live now and what are your favourite childhood memories growing up?
I grew up about an hour away in a small village where my parents still live. My favourite memories are quiet normal everyday things like the BBQs in the garden and the Sunday's spent taping the Radio One chart show followed by a Sunday roast! I'm showing age! But I also remember loving the village type things that went on like the fairs and carnivals where the whole community turned out and you knew everyone! I miss that about where I live now.
6.) Have you got ant exciting family plans for the year ahead?
Well, little one number four is due in July and so I imagine that will consume all of our time in 2016! We're also looking forward to doing some house improvements and hopefully making it more of a home as well as setting up our vegetable garden with the kidlets! Aside from that we will be trying to get used to life as a family of 6 - eeek!
7.) What is your favourite thing about family life?
(Most of the time) I like the chaos of it, the hustle and bustle and the endless conversations. I love the ability little people have to be excited about all sorts of things that grown ups find mundane and they never fail to make me giggle with the hilarious things they say!
Thank you for taking part Jemma It sounds lovely where you live, and I hope that you are settling in well to your new home. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.
