Other Bloggers Family Lives Featuring Daddilife

This week on Other Bloggers Family Lives I am joined by Han-Son who blogs at Daddilife and lives in London. So let's find out more about the family behind Daddilife.

1.) Tell me a bit about yourself and your family?

Hi! I'm Han-Son and I live with partner and our son Max, who's almost four (where did that time go?).

2.) Where do you live?

I live in South London.

3.) What is your favourite thing to do as a family where you live?

We have a wonderful park near to us, well not that near but its worth the couple of mile ride. It's not just a usual park either, it's called Modern Park Hall and as well as acres an acres of park space it also has a wonderful pond where I like to pretend fish with Max. He has no clue what's going on, but we seem to have some pretty deep chats about the lives of the fish!

It's also a great space for him to go at full speed, we often bring the scooters there and really go for it.

It also had a brilliant garden centre so we can go back to nature, and bring it back home too.

4.) If you could live anywhere where would you?

For real quality family time, we need to escape the city and go back to the countryside. We've probably been to Somerset three times in the last year alone. It's the best place for freshness of air, and freshness of food. If I could I would live there in a heartbeat.

5.) Did you grow up close to where you live now and what are your favourite childhood memories of where you grew up?

I grew up in  North London, but lived in America and then Manchester for a while. London is home though, and my overriding memory of being a child in North London was the relative simplicity of life.

No phone, no social media, no things that really distracted you from just being a kid. I was also really lucky to have a cousin I was close to as well as a good friend all living on my street, the street really felt like extended family.

6.) Have you got any exciting family plans for the year ahead?

Because of the working hours of my partner, we don't get much of a summer holiday so I'm looking forward to an extra long winter one.

7.) What is your favourite thing about family life?

This might sound cheesy but, honestly, I think I'm learning more about myself and what's really important in life now as a dad than at any other time in my life. I look at things differently, I think about the future of our country a lot more. I guess I try and take in the things and moments that really matter now. That is the beauty of family life.

Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions, I bet it is lovely living in London and being so close to everything. I hope you manage to book an extra long winter holiday this year to relax with your family.

  1. Thanks for posting this. So interesting hearing about other people's family life. I’m not too far from South London so will have to check out Modern Park Hall. 😊

  2. I get why Han-son would want to escape to the countryside. Having lived in a quiet part of Portugal for 18 months now, it's a shock to the system when I return to a city for any reason. I much prefer the quieter pace of life now.
