Mr Mulligans Space Golf Newcastle Review

Looking for something fun to do in Newcastle city centre with your family? Well what about Mr Mulligans Space golf? We went recently and it was tons of fun for the whole family.

Mr Mulligans is a space themed indoor mini golf located just outside of the Gate complex in Newcastle city centre next to Zaap Thai and Turtle Bay. There are three courses to choose from easy, medium and hard and you can play any of the courses you like. They also have arcade type games, pool tables and electro-darts for an extra charge and they serve food and drinks.

We love mini golf but only ever seem to play it on holiday, however one wet and miserable Saturday morning we decided to try it out for something fun to do whilst we were in Newcastle. I pre-booked tickets online that morning and it cost us £32.50 for a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids) to play 18 holes which works out at a round on two of the three courses. Or for £42 you can book 27 holes which is all three courses.

We visited around 11am on a Saturday morning and there was only a few other families there meaning we got around the courses quickly without any waiting around. On arrival we were giving clubs each and golf balls and told we could pick any two of the three courses, we ended up playing easy and hard.

Each of the three courses have different space theming which is fun, every hole had something interesting to look at. Playing mini golf as a family was nice and a little bit competitive at times but it was nice to do something fun as a family that all of us could take part in together.

It took us just over an hour to do two courses of mini golf at Mr Mulligans Space Golf. We didn't try any food on our visit, although the menu looked good - but we did have drinks (three cokes were around £9ish).

Overall we had a nice time, the space theming was fun with tons of photo opportunities throughout. It was fun doing something comeptitive as a family and it was something a bit different too. The kids (aged 8 and 9) really enjoyed it and have already asked if we can go back someday.
