AD - Review Item.
My children adore making little dens under the dining room table to play and hide from the grown-ups. In the past, we have bought them play tents but we have always found them to be really flimsy and a bit of a nightmare to put up and pack away again - especially pop-up-ones. So when Hape recently got in touch and asked if we would like to review one of their teepees I knew the children would have lots of fun and really enjoying testing it out.
I had seen photos of the teepee online and it looked really sturdy and the perfect size for my 4 and 5-year-olds to play in together. When it arrived in a rather small storage bag I initially thought there must be some kind of mistake as it looked a lot smaller then I imagined and I was dreading putting the teepee up as I thought it would be in lots of little pieces. However, I was proved wrong on both counts as it was super quick and easy to set the teepee up and it was a lot bigger then it looked in the bag.
The Teepee comes with really sturdy and well made wooden poles that you slide into the teepee and then you tie the poles together with the string provided. It has little windows that children can look out of, or you can let the canvas flaps down and hide the windows if they prefer. It has a door that you can fasten or tie to the sides and both of my children fit inside to play with plenty of space left for toys.
The children have enjoyed playing in the garden with the teepee and we have also put it in their bedroom to make a cosy reading corner with blankets and cushions which they adore spending time in. It has been wonderful watching them makeup games together and have fun playing imaginatively in the teepee.
The teepee is white, yellow and red and is made from quality canvas so you know that it is going to last. It is also super easy to pack away again into the matching canvas bag when not in use. My children really like playing in the Hape teepee and I just know that they will get loads of fun out of it during the summer and I now get my dining room table back as they are no longer making dens under it all the time.
If you have a young child who enjoys making dens then I think that they will enjoy this teepee just as much as my two children too.
