CatPawCino - The Quayside Cat Cafe

AD - Invited.

A couple of Sunday's ago we were invited down to CatPawCino, which is a cat cafe located on Newcastle's quayside. I have never been to a cat cafe before although I had walked past CatPawCino a few times before and my teen  kept mentioning that she would like to visit, so I took her along with me. As we visited on a Sunday morning the quayside was bustling with the market, overlooking the Tyne CatPawCino was the perfect place to visit after a  stroll along the quayside.

Entrance to the cafe is priced at £5 per person for an hour and you can buy drinks and cakes whilst inside the cafe to enjoy whilst you spend time with the cats. Upon entering the hallway you are greeted by a member of staff, asked to remove your shoes and reminded of the cafe rules.

All of the cats were really beautiful, all different kinds of colours and breeds and you could instantly tell they were happy and well looked after. My teen took a bit of a liking to Ebby a beautiful grey Scottish fold (named due to her rare folded over ears), who was super friendly.

The cafe serves a range of hot and cold drinks, cakes, sandwiches and soups which were all very reasonably priced. My teen ordered a brownie and the most delicious white hot chocolate, whilst I had a latte. It was so lovely just relaxing in the warmth looking out the window to see the Tyne and the busy market and spending some time with some lovely cats.

There was plenty of cat towers, scratching posts, beds and toys for the cats dotted around the cafe. The cats were able to climb on their towers or to venture into a separate room away from the cafe if they wished.

If you are planning on visiting yourself then I would recommend booking in advance as it was fully booked when we visited. If you have a teen and you want to try somewhere different with them then I highly recommend you visit CatPawCino with them. I am sure they will love it as much as my daughter did.

Please note CatpawCino does not allow children under 6 into the cafe, children over 6 years of age must be supervised by an adult when visiting.

CatPawCino is located at 77 Quayside, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE1 3DE

Opening times are 11am - 7pm Tuesday - Friday
10am - 7pm Saturday and Sunday's
Closed on Monday's.

Please check the website or social media pages for CatPawCino before visiting for up to date opening times, prices and information.
