Run-Along Twirlywoos Review

Having two toddlers I am very aware of pre-school TV shows and my children certainly have their favourites. Jacob is a huge Mr Tumble fan and Sophia has recently become rather fond of the Twirlywoos, who I first heard of last June when I attended Britmums live. The Twirlywoos have their own show on Cbeebies and are made up of Great BigHoo, Toodloo, Chickedy and Chick. It is such a fun show that captivates my little twos imagination and makes them laugh out loud whenever it is on.

Since launching last year the show has become a huge success and Golden Bear toys have recently brought out some new Twirlywoo toys, Sophia (aged 2) was lucky enough to be sent a one to see what she thought. We were sent a Run-Along Chickedy toy and from the moment Sophia saw it she was in love and could not wait to get it out the box and play with it.

The Run-Along Twirlywoos are lots of fun as we soon found out when Sophia pressed Chickedy's hand and watched in amazement as it 'came to life' before her eyes, running across the floor doing the 'Twirlywoos run' from the show whilst making its signature silly sound which makes my little two burst into giggles. They love to press Chickedy's hand and then try and walk along with it copying the sounds and run.

Each Twirlywoo is brightly coloured and suitable from ages 10mths + and soft enough for little ones to hug. A big plus point for me was that they come with batteries included so you can just take it out the box and let little ones play with it straight away, instead of having to hunt for batteries. My children are aged 18 months and two and a half and they both love this toy, it is cute, fun and so like the characters on the show. I think this is the perfect toy for any pre-schooler as I am sure any fan of the show will adore these Run-Along toys just as much as my own children do.

Run-Along Twirywoos are available to buy priced at £19.99 each which I think is good value for such a fun toy. You can buy all four Twirlywoo characters separately meaning you can get whichever one your child prefers or you could even collect all four if your child is a big fan, I imagine it would be great fun watching all four running around at once.

Do your little ones like the Twirlywoos?

Disclosure: We were sent this toy for the purpose of this review, however, all words and opinions are my own.

  1. We used to watch loads of CBeebies when my daughter was younger. She's now 5, so I'm afraid I'm not familiar with Twirlywoos at all, although with the look on your daughter's face, I see it's a big hit and can understand why :) It makes kids smile!

  2. My toddler is similarly obsessed with the Twirlywoos, she has most of the toys but these are new!! I think this may need to be added to her birthday list! I actually quite enjoy watching the show too, it is not irritating in the way that some of the others are, and I actually find them quite funny xx
