Hotel Belvedere Salou Spain Review

 

If you have children who love theme parks then a trip to Portaventura World in Salou, Spain is a great place to visit. My children certainly enjoy a theme park visit so we booked a long weekend to Salou in Spain with Jet2 as a package staying at the Ohotels Hotel Belvedere. 

We had never been to Salou before and had no idea what to expect, we visited over the October half term holidays and we flew from Newcastle. I visited with my three children aged twenty two, eleven and ten at the time we visited - my husband was at work so stayed home to look after the dogs. We paid around one thousand two hundred pounds for the trip for two adults and two children, this included flights with reserved seating and bags, transfers and hotel and park tickets. We were staying at the Hotel Belvedere for three nights on a half-board basis - breakfast and evening meal.

As a family we love to visit Lanzarote in the Canary Islands and have visited four times over the last few years. One of the places we have stayed is Hyde Park Lane apartments or some people call them bungalows in the Los Pocillos area near Puerto del Carmen in Lanzarote. We visited as a family with two children (aged 10 and 8 years old when we visited).

Pirates Village is a family-friendly hotel based in Santa Ponsa, Majorca. We visited back in May with our three children aged 3,4 and 15.  I have previously written a review of the hotel and a post all about the all-inclusive food and drink at the hotel . We had such a wonderful holiday at Pirates Village and I would recommend it to anyone with children aged 3-10 as it is ideal for children in this age group.

Back In May, we went on holiday to Majorca, staying at the Pirates Village hotel in Santa Ponsa. The main reason we decided to visit Santa Ponsa was that we loved the look of the Pirates Village hotel, we had spent hours searching online for a small child-friendly hotel and the reviews for Pirates Village looked great. 

We had no idea what Santa Ponsa was like as we had never been before. However we found Santa Ponsa to be great for a family holiday, there was a real mix of people holidaying in the resort from stag and hen parties to couples and lots of families. 

We spent a week exploring the resort and we found it really family-friendly with plenty to keep children and adults entertained. So here are some things to do with children in Santa Ponsa, Majorca.

Back in May, we went on holiday to Majorca, staying at Pirates Village hotel which is located in Santa Ponsa. We booked a package deal online through Jet2 for a week all-inclusive.

On our recent family holiday we stayed at the Pirates Village Hotel located in Santa Ponsa, Majorca. Travelling with our three children we decided to go all inclusive as it only worked out about £500 more than self-catering and we thought it would be best with the children. 

Before we went I tried looking online to see what the food was like, but there was not much information available and I was a bit worried as my daughter is a very fussy eater. So I thought I would write this post in case anyone is else is visiting and is wondering what the food and drink are like on the all-inclusive package.

Flying With Jet2 To Majorca

Over the past few years, Jet2.com and Jet2 Holidays have become really popular, especially here in Newcastle where they have a base. So when we were looking to book a holiday last year my brother recommended that we book via Jet2 Holidays, as he had recently been on a Jet2 holiday himself. 

Our First Family Holiday To Majorca, Pirates Village Santa Ponsa

At the start of May, we went on our very first family holiday abroad as a family of five and we had a brilliant time. As it was the little twos first time on a plane and going abroad we wanted somewhere that was a short flight away and where the weather would be sunny but not too hot, so we decided to go to the beautiful island of Majorca which is just a two and a half hour flight and would not be too hot at this time of year. 

We booked Pirates Village hotel on an all-inclusive basis with Jet2 Holidays, as we had read so many great reviews on TripAdvisor and it looked like a really family-friendly hotel that was ideal for young children. 

The Marriott Hotel Gateshead Metrocentre : Review

Last week we stayed at the Marriott hotel Newcastle, Gateshead Metrocentre as part of the Beamish Package that they offer. I wrote about the package as a whole earlier in the week but thought that I would do a proper review of the hotel. The hotel is located near the A1 right opposite Europe's largest leisure and shopping complex the Metrocentre and just a short ten-minute journey away from Newcastle city centre. The hotel is rated 4 star and is perfect for both business and leisure purposes. 

 

The Marriott Hotel Beamish Package

Living in the North East we are lucky to have so many great attractions but my absolutely all-time favourite has to be Beamish. I have been visiting since I was a child and never get bored, If you are unsure of what Beamish is then it is an open-air working museum based in Durham, telling the story of what life was really like in the North East in the 1820s, 1900's and 1940s. So when Marriott hotel got in contact to tell us about their new Beamish package and invited us along to try it out how could I say no?

The Beamish package is available at four Marriott hotels in the North East until 30/11/2015 and it includes one night in a Marriott hotel with breakfast and day tickets to Beamish museum. It is the perfect package for someone visiting the region looking for a great day out.
