Back To School Ready With Smash Lunch Boxes

 AD Review.

After months at home, children will be returning to school in just a matter of weeks. As a parent I have very mixed feelings about this, my children are so ready to return to the classroom, see their friends and have a bit of normality back in their lives. However, I am a worrier and have been trying my best to think of ways to keep them safe when they return to school. One thing that I have decided to do is to have all three children (one in 6th form, one in key stage 2 and one in key stage 1) on packed lunches. Previously the younger two had school dinners at primary school and the teen would head to the local shops for lunch on her lunch break. So for my teen especially, taken a packed lunch will be a lot 'safer'.

The kind people at Smash sent all three children lunch boxes and water bottles for the return to school and I have to say I am impressed. We were sent three totally different style and designed lunch boxes and each one is high-quality with Blue iQ lining, which helps protect against harmful bacteria. We all know how grubby kids can get their lunchboxes in, but the lining has a protective barrier which won't allow food to absorb, which prevents bacteria. They are also wipe-clean which reduces smells and stain and they are insulated, helping keep food cooler for longer.

We were sent a football lunchbox, a mint green one and a blue floral design lunch box.

Smash Football Lunch Box & Bottle

This lunch box is perfect for my football-mad 6-year-old son. The lunch bag is black with a football design on the front and a little pocket on the side to keep the water bottle provided in. The lunch box has plenty of room to fit all of his lunch items in and is small enough to still fit in his school backpack. It has a handle on the top and feels really sturdy. He is really looking forward to having a school packed lunch and taking his football lunch box into school in September.

I have seen this lunch box set available in my local Tescos for just £7 - bargain.

5 Piece Mint Green Lunch Set

This mint-green lunch box set comes with a water bottle, sandwich box, a snack tube and a freezable gel pack to keep your lunch cool. The lunch box has two zipped compartments - one for the drink bottle and a larger one for sandwich and snacks. My 7-year-old daughter has claimed this set as it matches her backpack colour and she likes all the extras that came with it.

Again I have seen these in Tesco and Amazon priced at £12.00.

Navy Floral Lunch Bag and Water Bottle

This is a more grown-up set, one I would be happy to use myself if I am perfectly honest. It is navy with a pink floral design and is just one compartment. The bottle is 500ml and is a bit too big to fit in the lunch bag but that is not a problem as my teen takes a big bag to 6th form with her to store them both in. These items are for sale separately and cost £6 each, which I think is good value as the drink bottle is quite heavy and well made.

All three of the lunch box sets are perfect for back-to-school. I really like the antibacterial lining and the fact they are all wipe-clean as they will be getting cleaned a lot when the children return to school.

If you're looking for a lunch-box for your own children returning to school, I would recommend.

Disclosure I was sent these products for the purpose of this review, all opinions are my own.
