Smyths New Baby Catalogue

When I was pregnant with my children I would spend hours browsing catalogues and magazines to see what equipment I wanted to buy. I loved looking through an actual catalogue rather than looking online as I could look at things with my partner and circle anything that caught my eye. So when the new Smyths baby catalogue popped through my letterbox last week I was eager to have a read. I am not pregnant and I don't have a baby anymore but I do have a three-year-old who is in need of a new car seat and I had heard Smyths fit your car seats in store for you - perfect.

Baby CPR With St John Ambulance

As a parent, one of my worst fears in life is that something bad will happen to one of my children. I try my best to keep them safe, at all times. Sometimes no matter what we do to try and prevent the accidents and illnesses do occur in babies and young children. Often cuddles and calpol or a kiss and bandage will make everything ok when little ones have accidents or become unwell.

What if they became really unwell though and stopped breathing, would you know what to do then? Being in that situation does not bear thinking about, does it? As parent's I think we need to think about it though, I think we should all know basic first aid, as we honestly never know when we will need it.

Pampers #SagGoneGrooveOn

When I had my eldest child thirteen years ago I always used Pampers nappies, as I found them to be the best around. So when I had my second daughter almost three years ago I once again turned to Pampers and continued using them when baby number three came along. People were always telling us to try cheaper supermarket brands, as we had two little ones in nappies for a year which was rather expensive. We have tried the odd brand of cheaper supermarket nappies out over the years but I always went straight back to Pampers, as I find them to be the best around as cheaper nappies went really saggy.

HIPP #MilkMoments Plus Win A HiPP Organic Follow-On Milk Hamper

This time last year I was starting to wean my son who was six months old, it honestly feels like it was yesterday and not a whole year ago! I remember being so nervous about weaning him as his older sister had been really difficult to wean and point blank refused everything we gave her, she is still a fussy eater now and she is almost three. Weaning my baby boy was a whole new experience as he loved it and took to it like a duck to water, which was no surprise as he had loved his milk and was a bit of hungry horris at times and food was something he eagerly took too.

When HiPP got in contact recently to ask me about my memories of weaning my son Jacob I knew I had to share my experience as it was such a pleasant one. Now that my babies are no longer babies and are little toddlers thinking back to a year ago makes me feel incredibly broody, I wish I had of cherished those baby days a bit more.

A look Back On Jacob's Weaning Journey With Vital Baby

This time last year my youngest child Jacob was almost five months old and we decided to wean him a little earlier than recommended on the advice of our health visitor, as he was suffering from colic and reflux and was such a big hungry baby. As he was only almost five months old we started off weaning him on baby rice before slowly introducing baby porridge and then fruit and vegetable purees and lastly finger food.

Jacob loved his food and weaning him was such a lovely experience, when he was ten months old we were invited to be part of the #WeaningWarriors team by Vital baby and I wrote about the start of our weaning journey. I wrote about how we started Jacobs weaning journey and how he was at the stage where he was starting to eat family meals, I also shared some expert weaning tips from Dr Rana Conway.
