Now that we are well and truly into October my thoughts are starting to turn to Halloween. We don't really make a big fuss about Halloween in our house, the children do like to dress up though and we normally watch a 'scary movie'. To help get families ready for Halloween a new film has just been released by Lionsgate which promises to 'Get your family ready for Hallowe'en with this adventurous tale of mystery and magic.'
The film is called Howard Lovecraft and The Frozen Kingdom, based on the graphic novel by H.P Lovecraft and with the voices of Ron Perlman and Christopher Plummer this animated tale is perfect for Halloween.
A Frightened little boy Howard Lovecraft receives a warning from his father about a legendary book, said to open a portal to another world. Ignoring all talk of doom, he accidentally uses the book to travel to a mysterious land inhabited by strange creatures and where danger lurks around every corner. There he befriends a great and monstrous creature whom he calls Spot and together they embark on an adventure into the Frozen Kingdom. Join Howard and Spot in this fantastical tale and discover that there is nothing to fear when there's a friend at your side.
The film is rated a PG, I think my children are a bit too young to sit and watch this film as they are only 2 & 3 years old. So I am not sure what it is like myself but it does sound good for school aged children.
I have a copy of the DVD to give away to one lucky reader, just in time for Halloween. To be in with a chance of winning just sign in to the Rafflecopter form below and complete one or more the entry requirements. T&C 's apply, please see below. Good Luck.
