Hello, welcome back to my guest post series Other Bloggers Family Lives. I took a bit of a break from this series over Christmas and New Year and I contemplated stopping it, but I decided to bring it back as it always proved popular. You can catch up on all the previous posts here. This week I am joined by Clare who blogs at Freddies Mummy UK, which is a family lifestyle blog.
So let's find out more about the family behind Freddies Mummy UK Blog.
1.) Tell me a bit about yourself and your family?
Hi, my name is Clare and I live with my husband, my 19-year-old step son and our son Freddie who is 8 years old. I am 40 years old and I am a full-time blogger.
2.) Where do you live?
We live in a small village in Leicestershire.
3.) What is your favourite thing to do as a family where you live?
As it is a small village we are very lucky to have some amazing friends who are Freddie's friend's parents, so we socialise a lot with them.
4.) If you could live anywhere where would you?
We would love to live in Stratford Upon Avon when Freddie goes to the next school as there is an excellent grammar school there. Also, it would be closer to my husbands work, however, I don't think this will happen as we are very settled where we are.
5.) Did you grow up close to where you live now and what are your favourite childhood memories of where you grew up?
Yes, I did actually, although I always planned to move away. I left my parents home at 17 and have lived in Birmingham, Sydney Australia, London and Brighton. But I moved back to the same village about 12 years ago. My favourite memories of where we lived when I was younger was all of my friends lived down the road, so we used to play out a lot.
6.) Have you got any exciting family plans for the year ahead?
We are hoping to go to China in April as my husband is working there for a week (he travels a lot with his work).
7.) What is your favourite thing about family life?
We don't really see my husband in the week, as half of the month he is working away, but we try not to work on weekends and we just love being together. We all enjoy the theatre so that would be our favourite family day out.
Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions, Clare, I hope you get to visit China as that would be a great experience. I love how you have lived in so many places but ended up back in the village you grew up in.
