Gift Idea's For Grown-Ups This Christmas

Gifted Items

I don't know about you but I always struggle on what to buy the grown-ups in our family for Christmas. The adults in our family often say they don't need anything - Dad I am looking at you! Or they might just be tricky to buy for. I always end up leaving gift buying for the grown-ups until last minute and then end up panic buying tubs of chocolates, bottles of plonk or gift sets that probably don't get used. This year I am determined to be more organised and not leave present buying until a couple of days before Christmas. If you too want to be prepared and need a bit of inspiration take a look at some of the gifts I have pulled together for this grown-up gift guide.

Dear Barber Male Grooming Kit

These cute little male grooming kits come in a nicely presented box and you can get different boxes such as mini grooming kits, hair styling kits, shave care collections and style and go collections with prices starting at just £10 they would make a nice stocking filler or secret Santa gift idea. We were sent the Style & Go Collection set (£17.95) which contains Shampoo, Pomade and with confidence. You can find out more and buy from www.dearbarber.co.uk

Taskmaster Board Game

Based on Dave's number one entertainment show Taskmaster, this game for three or more players is sure to be a hit this Christmas as you compete with friends or family in a series of ludicrous tasks to be crowned the Taskmaster Champion. It is the ideal game to play over the festive period and you can buy it now on Amazon and leading game retailers for £20.

Olay Stick Masks

These Olay Clay stick masks are made from 100% pure, naturally occurring Kaolin Clay to help improve impurities. They take just ten minutes and I love that they are in a stick format, meaning no more messy fingertip face mask applications. Each stick has enough clay for around 40 uses and costs £12.99 and there are three different sticks available, Glow Boost, Pore detox and fresh reset.

Pub Quiz Book

My dad loves pub quizzes and goes to his local one every week, so this pub quiz book would be perfect for him. There are three books to choose from - General Knowledge, Pot Luck or Pop Music. All books have a vast range of questions and will help you brush up on your pub quiz knowledge or help you plan your own pub quiz in the future. They are available from all good bookshops and online priced at £7.99 each.

Personalised Cushion

I love personalised gifts and I really like this personalised Mr & Mrs sharing the sofa since cushion as you can get it personalised with your name and wedding date. It is such a lovely gift for a newlywed (like me) or for a partner or family member as a gift that I am sure they will treasure. They cost £14.99 and come complete with cushion infill and printed cover already assembled. You can buy them online from www.thepersonalisedgiftshop.co.uk

Handmade Soaps

These from Vie naturals are handmade in Bali and come in four scents - Lavender, Rose, Jasmine and Frangipani. They are formulated to have a bubbly lather and wash off without residue leaving your skin feeling moisturised. You can buy a pack of 4 soaps from www.global1st.co.uk priced at £6.95

Shea Moisture Collection

The Shea Moisture African black soap soothing collection has a body wash and body lotion (£11.99 each). It helps soothe dry skin and can calm sensitive skin as it made from soothing oat extract and moisturising Aloe. They are available to buy from Boots, where they are on offer for 3 for 2 and make a lovely stocking filler or treat for yourself this winter.

Ted Baker Gift Set

Ted Baker always have some lovely festive gift sets and we normally buy a few each year as gifts (my teen is a big fan). So I really like this Ted Baker Polly Sweet Treat gift Set (RRP £24). It contains a 30ml Polly EDT and a compact mirror and is available from Boots, John Lewis and The Fragrance Shop now.

Galaxy Truffles

Remember when Galaxy truffles used to be in tubs of celebrations? they were always my favourite and I was gutted when they vanished. However, Galaxy has recreated them and you can now buy them in a box on their own! They are available now priced at £4.99 from all leading retailers and I can see them being a big hit this Christmas.

Backpack

My husband has been asking for a new backpack that he can use on days out/ when we go on holiday etc. So this Lyle and Scott black core backpack is perfect for this, it has padded adjustable shoulder straps, a large main compartment and then a smaller one at the front and is very spacious and stylish. It costs £35 and comes with free delivery from www.mainlinemenswear.co.uk

Books

I am such a bookworm and I love nothing better than getting books for Christmas that I can snuggle up and read over the festive period. Two books I have been sent that would make lovely Christmas gifts are Unscripted by Claire Handscombe (£8.75) is a novel about friendship, second chances and how far can you take a dream. I am really looking forward to reading it myself.

The second book I was sent was The Rule Breakers Guide by Georgia Varjas (£11.99) which is about stepping up, standing out and encouraging you to find your rebellious streak. It sounds like the ideal book to read if you want to start sticking up for yourself more in the New Year.

Covermark

Covermark is a cosmetic camouflage foundation that can be used to hide birthmarks, pigmentation and can also be used on post-operative scars, tattoo cover-up or acne. It is water and sweat-proof and lasts 24 hours and provides SPF 30. I was sent a leg trial kit which can be used to help conceal any marks, scars or varicose veins you may have and costs £8.98 and is available from sk1n.co.uk

Whisky

Whisky is always a popular gift choice and Tomatin Distillery near Inverness has a range of Whiskys available to suit every taste and budget with prices starting from £30 a bottle.

So there are some ideas for gifts for grown-ups this Christmas, which gift do you like the look of the best?
