Paw Patrol Live Review

On Thursday Paw Patrol Live was in Newcastle and we were lucky enough to go along and see the show called The Great Pirate Adventure at the Metro Radio Arena. Following the success of last years Paw Patrol show - Race To The Rescue, this was a very much anticipated show. My little girl Sophia (age 5) adores Paw Patrol, she has been a big fan for the last three years and has probably seen every episode and has all of the toys. She was super excited when she found out we were heading to see them live on stage, I also took my friend and her little boy (almost 3) along too as he is a huge Paw Patrol fan.

The Great Pirate Rescue is based on Mayor Goodway getting Adventure Bay ready for a big pirate day celebration, however, clumsy Cap'n Turbot falls into a dark cave and needs to be rescued. It is Paw Patrol to the rescue as Chase, Marshall, Skye, Rubble, Rocky and Zuma race to rescue him with Ryder's help to save the day. During the rescue, they discover a secret treasure map which leads them on an adventure to discover the hidden treasure.

Pesky Mayor Humdinger finds out about the treasure map and tries to find the hidden treasure first to take back to his town Foggy Bottom. The pups are in a race against time to find the treasure and beat Mayor Humdinger who tricks the pups along the way. Special pup Tracker helps the pups out and proves that teamwork can save the day. After all, no job is to big and no pup is too small in Adventure Valley as the Paw Patrol always save the day.

I was not sure how they would manage to bring Paw Patrol to life on stage but the costumes were great, it was a shame you could see the heads of the actors over the costumes but the children didn't seem to mind. The costumes were really good though and they even had some of the vehicles on stage too which were big hits with the young audience members.

There was also lots of phrases and songs from the show that the children recognised and enjoyed singing along too. The scenes were full of action and kept the young audience members entertained throughout. It really was just like watching an episode of Paw Patrol come to life on the stage right in front of your eyes.

The show was also just the right length of time for children to enjoy too, the first half lasted about 40 minutes then there was a 15-minute interval and then the second half was around another 40 minutes. There were lots of Paw Patrol items available to buy, but as to expect they were a bit pricey my friend bought her son a light which was £15, they also had balloons, programmes, soft toys, t-shirts and caps available to buy. Lots of children also arrived dressed up in Paw Patrol costumes and t-shirts which was super cute.
