11 Months Until I Say I Do

It is now only 11 months to go until I get married and say I Do, the time is going so fast and it won't be long until my big day is here. Now I am on countdown to the wedding I thought it would be nice to write monthly wedding updates as I have weddings on the brain lately and so many people I know are also planning weddings too. When I heard people saying organising a wedding was stressful I never believed them as I thought it would be really easy and fun, and it can be at times but now I see how they can find it stressful too. Finding suppliers and booking them (and saving for them) is rather stressful and now we have just a year to go I am worried about losing weight (still hasn't happened) and finding a nice dress too.

As I mentioned in my one year until the wedding post last month we do have the big things booked for the wedding like the venue, registrar and the main suppliers. I still need to book a florist and videographer and stationery maker, if anyone has any recommendations be sure to let me know!

Now it is less than a year to the wedding we have been to give notice at our local registry office, we are not getting married at a registry office but a registrar will be marrying us at our venue.  I was really nervous before the appointment as I did not know what to expect and thought they would ask lots of questions, it was really straightforward though with just basic questions. It cost us £70 to give notice and then I think it is around another £450ish for the registrar fees closer to the time. We were given a booklet with vows and promise readings and things in which I was not expecting as I thought all the vows were the same. I really am clueless when it comes to weddings.

I have spent lots of times looking at wedding magazines, reading wedding blogs and looking at wedding facebook groups to get ideas for our big day. I think I know exactly how I want the venue to look now, I just need to start pulling everything together to create the look I want. Still need to decide on chair sashes and centrepieces, which is surprisingly hard work!

We still have not decided on food choices yet, really need to book a menu tasting in soon as we really can't decide what we want for the wedding breakfast yet. I also need to request some invitation samples and get those sorted, start looking for wedding dresses and a flower girl dress for Sophia. I also need to sit down with the other half and write a guest list as we haven't even thought about that yet so have no idea on numbers.

My friend has asked to sort my hen party out and I have no idea what she has planned for that, but I am actually looking forward to having a girls night out as I haven't had a proper drunken night out in such a long time (since before I had the little two). We also need to meet with all the suppliers at some point to arrange things and I need to start buying little bits for the wedding too. So far I have only brought Chloe's bridesmaid dress, I also have the flower girl dress and Jacobs page boy suit and accessories. I also bought some first meal tags as they were only 10p each from Crafty tags (think that's what it is called) on Facebook.

Next month I think we are planning on finding a florist and videographer, I will be starting a drastic pre-wedding diet (wish me luck) so I can hopefully find a nice dress and I need to start buying little bits for the wedding and saving to pay all the big suppliers off.

I can't wait to get everything organised and to finally get married and become a Mrs.

If you are married did you enjoy planning your big day?
