Little Tikes Anchors Away Pirate Ship Water Table Review

Now that the weather is starting to get warmer my children love being outdoors playing and having fun. One thing that my three-year-old son has been eager for us to get was a water table to play with in the garden, as he adores playing with the water table at nursery. Luckily we were sent a Little Tikes Anchors Away Pirate Ship Water table to review last week, just in time for the lovely sunny weather we had over the weekend.

When the water table arrived it was in a huge box and needed to be put together and screws fitted to keep things in place. The instructions did say you need a drill but we managed just fine with a star shaped screwdriver. The other half built the water table in about half an hour and he is normally useless at putting toys together but he found it really easy to construct this. Once built it looks really impressive and is big enough for my 3 and 4 year olds to play with it together, it is also really sturdy and comes with lots of accessories for children to play with.

As soon as the table was built Jacob (aged 3) was playing away happily, he has spent hours playing with this water table over the weekend and he will happily play with it alone or with his sister. There is a water cannon which you aim and squirt water at things with (including parents if they are close by, much to my children's delight). You can make currents with the spinners which will move objects around the water, you can pour water into the crows nest to make a fountain or you can just play with the accessories and have fun making up games and pouring and sieving water.

Jacob loves making up games with the two characters included where they get chased by the shark and get rescued in a boat. He also has great fun hooking the bucket provided onto the anchor and raising it up. We have found this Anchors Away Pirate Water table great for imaginative and sensory play.

I was impressed with how many accessories it came with as it comes with two pirate people, a shark squirter, boat, life buoy, a bucket and a siver. The table itself has an anchor you can raise and lower, a slide for the pirates to whoosh down, a crows nest lookout tower that you can pour water in, a cannon water squirter and the spinners to create currents in the water.

Both of my children really enjoy playing with this table and it was lovely at the weekend watching them playing together and have fun while I was able to sit in the garden and watch them play nicely together. It is really sturdy, keeps children entertained, it looks great and it is super easy to fill up and empty as it has a plug on the bottom so you can empty it easily when you are finished playing with it.

Overall the Little Tikes Anchors Away Pirate Ship Water Table gets a big thumbs up from us as we can not find anything that we dislike about it. I am sure my children will have lots of fun playing with this water table during the summer.

Disclosure we were sent this water table for the purpose of this review, however all opinions are my own.
