Crater Craft A New Game - Review

My partner and teen are always playing games on their iPhones and are always telling me to download the latest games they are playing. I never do as I am not normally a fan of games on my phone as in the past I have been put off by the price of them, or the fact they can be stressful and so competitive as you race against the clock to complete a level. But there is a new game on the block called Crater Craft which is ideal for busy mums like myself who just want a gentle game to play to pass time whilst waiting to pick the kids up from school or the washer to finish.

Crater Craft is a free to install game and is similar to games such as Farmville and Hay Day as it is a farming/village building game.

"When a series of Volcanic eruptions disrupt a once prosperous planet, the planet's locals reach out to nearby galaxies with a unique invitation .... Crater Craftmasters wanted! No experience required!
Grow quirky plants and harvest their precious materials. Build your team of Crafters to make ever-more amazing items to bring in curious tourists. The more you craft, the bigger and better your crater becomes!

How high will you climb in the craftmasters leagues?

Downloading the game was really easy via the app store, it is also available on Google Play. The game is free to install and I found it really quick and easy to get going on the game. I was worried that the game would be complicated but it was not at all, it has easy to follow instructions when you first start so that you know what you are doing and prompts throughout the game to keep you interested.

When I first set up the game I got to design my own character, you can pick things such as hairstyles, clothing etc. I found the graphics on the game visually pleasing and the game so easy and relaxing to play as you play at your own pace in your own time. You can dip in and out of the game whenever you like, making it ideal for us busy parents. You can see what fellow blogger Birds and Lilies thought of the game too here.

To start you have a crater and you have to complete tasks to make it into a functioning, liveable village. You can recruit very cute little crafters when you earn enough points and these crafters will help you run and build your village. You grow and harvest crops, collect nectar and fill crates with your crafts to earn points and build your village. You get to furnish your own home and guest accommodation so that you can eventually welcome more people to your village.

I only started playing the game two days ago for a few minutes here and there and I am already on to level five. I have been playing whilst I wait for my children to finish school and whilst the adverts are on TV in an evening I have been playing Crater Craft for a few minutes instead of aimlessly scrolling through social media.

Overal I find it a really nice game, it is relaxing, great for dipping in and out of when you want to pass time and best of all it is free to download. If you are looking for a new game to install on your phone then I really do recommend this one and you can even add me so we can compare craters, my tag is #3ac559b. You can download crater craft using this link Crater Craft Link and don't forget to let me know how you get on.

  1. I quite like games like this too and something that you can just dip in and out of for a few minutes at a time is perfect. Will have to have a look for this one :-)
