Things I Loved In August

I can not believe it is the end of August and soon the summer holiday's will be over and my children will be off to actual school. The little two are off to reception and nursery school and my teen will be starting year 10! August has been another month full of highs and lows for us, but I don't let like to dwell on the negatives so here is a look at some of the things that I have loved from the month gone by.

1.) Jacob's birthday

My little boy turned three years old last week! He celebrated with a soft-play party with his friends and he had the best time. He loved playing with his friends and being the centre of attention and he was truly spoilt with gifts. We got him a bike which he loved and he got lots of paw patrol and superhero toys which are his favourite.

2.) The Summer Holidays

I have loved having all three of the children home all this month, it is so nice having lazy mornings and family days out. I think the little two are ready to go to school and nursery though as they have been fighting nonstop lately and I think the return of routine will do us all good.

3.) Family Time

The other half took some time off work this month and it was really nice to spend time together as a family. We rarely get to spend time together, all five of us so when we do I relish it.

4.) Beach Days

We live fairly close to the coast and it is lovely to head to the beach on sunny days, the children adore the beach and paddling in the sea. We normally spend a good few hours paddling in the sea, searching for shells and enjoying chips and ice creams.

5.) Big Brother

I love reality tv and have been watching celebrity big brother the last few weeks. I did not enjoy this series as much as previous years but I still watched it, hopefully, next year will be better.

6.) Tapas

A couple of days ago myself and the other half were invited to Tapas Revolution to enjoy their new summer offer. It was so nice having a few child-free hours to enjoy a lovely meal, the food was delicious and we will certainly be returning again soon.

7.) Jacob's First Time At The Cinema

We took the little two to the cinema this month to see Paw Patrol, it was Jacob's first time at the cinema and I was not sure if he would sit but he loved it.

8.) Time With My Big Girl

My eldest daughter is almost 15 now and she has spent most of the holidays out with her friends or boyfriend. Last week we went out for lunch, just me and her and it was nice to spend time with her without her younger siblings constantly interrupting.

9.) Wedding Magazines

I have been buying lots of wedding magazines lately and I love reading them. I have found so much inspiration for my own wedding and I love reading the real wedding features in them.

10.) Circus

Earlier this week we headed to the Chinese State Circus with some friends, it was the first time I had taken them to the circus and they really enjoyed the show.

So those are some of the things that I have loved this month, what have been your highlights from the month gone by?
