June 2017

I know I say this every single month, but can you believe that it is now July!! We are more than half-way through the year now and I am sure it will be Christmas before we know it. June was a really nice month for us and we now have so much to look forward to.

Personal Life

June was such a great month as I got engaged! eventually, after almost six years of being together, he proposed. I really need to write about it properly but we have alway's known we would get married one day, but having two children so close in age and moving house has meant it has just never been the right time for us to plan a wedding, until now. We have already picked a date and booked the venue and I am embarking on a mega diet so I feel confident in my dress (when I eventually go shopping for one).

We are not getting married until June 2019 so I am sure I will be writing lots about planning a wedding over the next two years. I have no idea about weddings so if anyone has any recommendations for wedding blogs then let me know, I need all the inspiration I can get.

We also booked our first family holiday abroad this month, we are going to Majorca for a week in May and I can't wait as we are long overdue a holiday. I also won flights to Portugal, however, I can't go so my dad and teen are off to Faro for a long weekend in September - very jealous!

We had a few nice days out this month, we went on a day out with Thomas at Stephenson Railway Museum, we have been for a few meals out and the children have spent a lot of time playing outdoors in the garden. We have also been busy cleaning out the house as we still have boxes to unpack from when we moved in November. We also have so much clutter that it is driving me insane, I think I need to buy the magic tidying book to help me declutter.

The little two will be off to school and nursery in September and I attended meetings to see which classes they will be. Sophia is going to have the same reception teacher her big sister had ten years ago, which is lovely. Jacob will be starting nursery school on the first day back after the summer, just two weeks after he turns three!

Blog Life

June was a disaster blog wise, I just have not had the time to blog as we have been so busy. Sometime's life just gets in the way of blogging and that is fine, my children will always come first and I want to spend as much time as I can with them before they start school and nursery in September.

So that is what life was like for us in June, how was your month?
