Slimming World : Week 19

After last week's amazing 5.5 lb weight  loss I was feeling motivated and back on track with the Slimming World plan this week. I have been fairly good this week, we have had no meals out or takeaways and all of my meals have been S.W friendly.

However, I did have one day where I was not on plan at all and had toast for breakfast and lunch and chicken nugget and chips for tea. Simply because Jacob is still not sleeping and had me up all night and I was exhausted and carbs and coffee were all that got me through the day.

S.W Meals

This week I have eaten mostly porridge or cereals for my breakfast, lunch has been either pasta & sauces with fruit or turkey salads. Teas have been S.W philli chicken pasta bake, S.W Iceland chicken tikka curry with boiled rice, Lean pork steak salad, Salt & Pepper Chicken with noodles and roast turkey dinner.

Once again I know that I have not drunk enough water and have not eaten enough speed foods (most fruit & veg) and I have forgotten to write down my syns. I was feeling rather nervous for weigh in this week simply because of the big unexpected loss that I had the week before. I stepped on the scales and was thrilled to find out I had lost 1.5lbs. I know that is not very much weight but it means that I have lost half a stone in just two weeks, which I am delighted about.

I stayed to class this week which I think is what helps me stay on track and helps inspire and motivate me, I am really glad I changed groups as the new one is much quieter and friendlier as everyone knows each other and gets along which I prefer. I also brought the new Slimming World recipe book The best of extra easy which is packed full of great looking recipes that I am looking forward to trying out.

This week I am hoping for just any loss really, although I would love 2 lbs as I only have 5lb to go until I get my 2 stone award and I am really hoping that I can achieve it by the end of the month. I am also only a few pounds away from my club 10 target which I am really hoping to get this month too.

Yet again my goals for this week is to write my syns down to keep track of them, drink more water and eat more speed foods. Fingers crossed for a loss this week as I think I will need all the luck going as I have just eaten a takeaway for tea tonight after a hectic day. I did try and be good and ordered chicken kebab with salad but I was a bit naughty and had two slices of garlic bread with cheese. I am hoping if I stick to plan 100 % the next 4 days until weigh in I won't have done too much damage though.

If you are on a healthy eating plan what takeaway do you get? I am always looking for new ideas as I am never sure what to order.

  3. When I was really on plan but went out for a curry with some friends, I had tandoori chicken (it's a dry curry) with plain rice and bombay potatoes. It was remarkably low syn wise, but I can't quite remember how many. I do remember having a decent loss that week, so it goes to show that some careful planning and you can still enjoy your meal out and lose weight!x

    1. Oh I will have to remember that thank you for the tip as we often go for Indian meals, infact we go for a one every Christmas day which is rather strange. I think I need to do my research and find out the syn value of foods when I eat out or fancy a take-away xx

  4. When we knew we were going to end up with Chinese Takeaway one Saturday. Mum and I work out what we could and shouldn't have then worked out how many syns we needed and then balance that out across the week - I'm not sure it's the recommended way of doing things but it was just one week so I think we were okay with that one! Thank you for sharing your post on the link up!

    1. Thank you for the tip, when I had my members talk I remember the consultant said to me work out how many syn's you have the week and then if you know you are going out etc just deduct from the total and try and be good the rest of the week. Mind I ate fish and chips at the beach two weeks ago and I think it made me stick to the plan better all week as I somehow lost 5.5lbs that week. xx
