Silver Cross Pioneer Doll Pram Review

My little girl Sophia is 4-years-old and she loves playing with her dolls and pushing them around in her doll's pram. Now that she is getting older her current dolls pram is getting a bit small for her and we were thinking of buying her a new one for Christmas this year, then just like magic Play Like Mum got in touch and asked if we would like to review a Silver Cross Pioneer 5-in-1 doll's pram (perfect timing).

We are huge Silver Cross fans in our household, my parents had a Silver Cross pram for me when I was a baby and my own children all had Silvercross pushchairs too. Sophia currently has a small Silver Cross dolls pram but it is getting too small for her now (she got it for her 2nd birthday) so we were looking forward to testing the new Pioneer doll pram out.

The Silver Cross Pioneer 5-in-1 pram has been designed to be just like the original Pioneer pram, just in a smaller doll size. It would be lovely for children whose parents have the Pioneer pram as having an identical dolls pram would make children feel just like mum and dad. This pram comes in either Eton Grey or Vintage Pink colours, as Sophia is a very girly girl we went for the Vintage Pink colour.

The pram comes in a box and has to be built, thankfully this was really quick and easy, it took minutes to put together. It can be used with the carrycot used forward or rear facing and the carrycot tips up to create a pushchair, which again can be used forward or rear facing. You can also take the carrycot off the pushchair base and use it as a bed for dolls too.

The soft-grip handle can be adjusted meaning that it is a pram that will last as Sophia grows. At 4-years-old Sophia found this pram to be a good size for her to play with and she found it really easy to push and play with, as it has swivel front wheels for easy manoeuvring. Sophia also really likes that it has a large storage basket underneath which she fills with toys or shopping when she pushes her pram to the local shops.

I was really impressed with all the little touches on this pram such as the bow on the hood, the soft-grip handles and just how similar it is to the original Pioneer pram. There has been so much attention to detail and it has a luxurious feel to it and looks great, I really love the vintage pink colour scheme too.

The pram is really beautiful and just like all Silver Cross products it is so sturdy and well made and I just know that it is going to last Sophia for years to come. I really like that you can also fold this pram up for easy storage and for taking on days out in the car too. I think that the Silver Cross Pioneer would make a wonderful gift this Christmas as it so beautiful that everyone will fall in love with it and get hours of fun from it.

You can buy the Silver Cross Pioneer 5-in-1 dolls pram in either vintage pink or Eton grey from
Play Like Mum for £59.99.

Disclosure I was sent this pram for the purpose of this review, however, all opinions are my own.

  6. This is such a beautiful pram, I love how kid's pushchairs are made like little replicas. It would be great to see more variation of colour and more effort made to become gender neutral though.
