Christmas Gifts For Five Pounds #SDFiverChallenge

Now that October is coming to an end the shops are starting to fill with Christmas items as everyone's thoughts turn to Christmas time. Christmas can be such an expensive time of year and some gifts can be so expensive, so when I was set a challenge by Sports Direct to find gifts for people for just £5 I wondered if this was even possible.

When I think of Sports Direct I never think of it being somewhere that you can buy gifts, I always thought it was somewhere to buy sportswear and trainers and is somewhere my partner buys football things from. I thought that I would have to buy gifts of sports socks and footballs but I was very wrong. Sports Direct actually sell a range of gifts for the whole family and even pets, which I was not expecting at all.

I managed to buy two items from the £5 range and also a few other items that were just over the £5 range, such as a Rubies Dressing up outfit for just £5.99 and a boys Nike t-shirt for just £6, they also had items for under £5 and a range that were exactly a fiver. The first item that I bought for a fiver was a Disney Princess wooden jigsaw set which comes in a handy storage box. I have got this for Sophia as she loves doing jigsaws and is a huge Disney Princess fan so I am sure she will like this. It has an RRP of £10 but is reduced to just £5.

The second item that I purchased was a 12 pack of Yankee Candle tealights in sweet apple fragrance, again these were just a fiver. I love Yankee Candles and I think these would make a great stocking filler for a Yankee Candle fan or a great Secret Santa gift idea.

Delivery was £4.99 and was fairly quick and arrived in a couple of days, I was kept updated throughout. All of my items arrived in perfect condition and I was impressed with the quality of the items, they were big named brands at low prices and they looked like they should have cost more than they actually did do. There was not a huge range of £5 gifts but there were lots around that price range, so overall I was impressed. If you have a few gifts to buy people this Christmas and you don't want to spend a lot of money then I do recommend checking out Sports Direct as you there are some bargains to be had, especially when you can buy a Christmas gift for just a fiver!
