Other Bloggers Family Lives Featuring Noah And The Girls

Welcome to another week of Other Bloggers Family Lives, this week I am featuring Kerry from gorgeous blog Noah & the girls. Kerry's blog is full of interior, recipes, travel and parenting posts that are oh so stylish. It really is a lovely blog that you could spend hours reading.

So let's find out more about the family behind Noah & The Girls.

1.) Tell me a bit about yourself and your family?

I am a 32-year-old mum, trying to balance working from home and raising three young children, whilst not completely losing my mind or sense of style. Quite frankly, the latter went out the window years ago, helped along by a 2 stone weight gain after my third child. Still, at least I can still cut and paste images of people, far more stylish than myself onto my blog to remind me of what I could perhaps look like If I weren't permanently shattered and/or eating cheese.

I love my kids to the point that it hurts, literally, I could cry when they do something cute. Which in a mothers eyes, is all the frickin time. If I had to sum them up in just a few words each I would say Charlie is a persistent brain box, Noah is a crazy whirlwind and Elodie is cute enough to rot teeth. My husband is patient and long suffering, he also takes an infuriatingly long time to tell stories / do stuff.

2.) Where do you live?

Well, my husband is a Brummie, I'm from Cheltenham and we live in Evesham, pretty much because both of us would prefer to live in our hometowns. Evesham is kind of in the middle, but also not close enough to either set of family and friends. What a bright move that was.

3.) What is your favourite thing to do as a family where you live?

Evesham has some lovely parks that are great for the kids and there are festivals held throughout the summer, which is kinda nice.

4.)  If you could live anywhere where would you?

If money and responsibilities were no object, then I would just travel the world permanently, we would live on one long holiday. But, as that's highly unlikely, I would say Cheltenham. It's a really nice place to live and a great place to bring up a family.

5.) Did you grow up close to where you live now and what are your favourite childhood memories of where you grew up?

I think of Cheltenham as my 'hometown' and we live about 30 minutes from there now, but I grew up in several different countries because we moved around a lot. My favourite country was Hong Kong, I have lots of fond memories of living there just the smells, travelling on boats, the lifestyle, freedom, the amount of things there are to do there. It's just a really great place.

6.) Have you got any exciting plans for the year ahead?

Haha - people keep asking us when we'll have a fourth child, but we are definitely sticking at three. I honestly don't know where the next year will take us. Chris and I both recently went self-employed, which was quite a big change for us and we would like to move house (so over the DIY where we are now), I think the likelihood is that we'll stay put for a couple more years.

I would like to start another blog, but I think I may need to start writing in my sleep to achieve that and I'm not sure anyone would be ready to hear the content of my dreams. A recent one with David Cameron was particularly disturbing.

7.) What is your favourite thing about family life?

Just that glowly feeling you get when you watch your children playing, learning or just being generally lovely, it's like pure ecstasy, in that brief moment before they start booting each other round the head or kicking each other in the shins.

Thank you so much for taking part Kerry, it sounds lovely where you live. I am always getting asked when I am having a fourth child too but I too think three is enough for me. The idea of being able to travel the world if money was no object really appeals to me too as there are so many places I want to discover. I bet living in lots of different countries as a child was an unforgettable experience. I hope you and your husband are still enjoying being self-employed.

Kerry has since changed the name of her blog
