Other Bloggers Family Lives Featuring A Slice Of My Life Wales

Welcome to another week of Other Bloggers Family Lives. This week I am featuring another blog that I really enjoy reading, A Slice Of My Life Wales written by Leanne. I first discovered Leanne's blog last year when we were both following the Slimming World plan and I used to read her weekly meal plans for inspiration. I am now a regular reader of her blog and love to read all about her family life in Wales with her adorable little one-year-old girl Aria.

A Slice Of My Life Wales

So let's find out more about the family behind A Slice Of My Life Wales

1.) Tell me a bit about yourself and your family?

We are a family of three living in South Wales, we have lived here all our lives and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Spencer and I welcomed Aria into our lives in February 2015 and without sounding too cheesy, she really has brightened up our lives. Spencer works full-time in an IT job and I work part-time in a photography studio, where I am currently training to become a photographer. We love lazy days binge watching Netflix, we also love to get out and about and explore the local area, we also love eating out and trying new food.

2.) Where do you live?

We live in a small town in South Wales called Pontypool, not many people have heard of it. It is a bit of a run down area but it also has so many beautiful areas, we have an amazing park and a lovely canal, both within walking distance from our house.

3.) What is your favourite thing to do as a family where you live?

When the sun is shining we love to go out and enjoy the countryside, usually with a picnic in tow. We will sometimes take the picnic blanket and just chill out in a field for hours at a time, Spencer and I get to chill out while Aria shuffles around causing chaos!

4.) If you could live anywhere where would you?

I would stay in Pontypool. We have our house up for sale now and in an ideal world, I would love to move five minutes away up the road to where I grew up. It is on top of a hill and the views are fantastic, it is also within easy walking distance to the park and town, which is ideal for me as I don't drive. Being a two-minute walk away from my parent's house would also have it's advantages when we want a last minutes babysitter!

5.) Did you grow up close to where you live now and what are your favourite childhood memories of where you grew up?

I live a five-minute car journey/ forty minute walk from where I grew up. I have so many memories of growing up there, I don't know where to begin! We lived right on top of the park and had so many adventures in the fields behind our houses. My sister and I were both tomboys who loved hedge hopping, diving in the ferns, swinging from the rope swings in the trees and just generally having fun.

6.) Have you any exciting family plans for the year ahead?

Our house has been on the market for what feels like forever, ideally, it will sell at some point this year and we will create some amazing memories in a new family home.

7.) What is your favourite thing about family life?

Everything, well almost everything. Of course, there are some bad parts such as waking up in the nights and dirty nappies! I absolutely love being a mother to our gorgeous girl Aria, I still find it crazy that this little girl relies on me and I am here to make sure that she has an amazing upbringing and to help shape her future. I love watching her learn and discover new things, watching her become more confident and grow. I can't imagine life without her now.

Thank you so much for taking part Leanne, it sounds so lovely where you live. I have never been to Wales before but I would love to someday as it looks so beautiful in photos. Aria sounds like such a loved little girl and your love for her shines through. I am keeping my fingers tightly crossed that you manage to sell your home and move to a new family home soon, I know all too well how frustrating it is waiting to move.
