A Little Update

I very much doubt that anyone has been wondering where I have been lately, after all, I have never been the type of blogger who posts daily or spends lots of time on social media. However, for the last week and a bit, I have not blogged or been on social media at all. I did not even post my weekly Other Bloggers Family Lives feature this week, as I simply did not have the time to promote it. I did not intend to take a blogging break, sometimes life just gets in the way and things happen and you realise that actually, a break of sorts is kind of nice.

So what has been happening?

Well, Jacob - my youngest started pre-school a few mornings a week, which he loves. Sophia - my three-year-old started nursery school, she has to wear a proper uniform which is so cute! I thought that I would actually start to have a little bit of free time each day to blog and catch up on my backlog after the summer (please tell me I am not the only one playing catch up from the summer?) I had it all planned in my head that I would drop them at nursery and pre-school, come home blog and then spend the afternoons baking and crafting and doing all the things that I never do but us mums often feel guilty that we don't do with our children.

Anyway, the week Sophia started pre-school we unexpectedly found out that are long awaited house move is actually happening! Not only is it happening but it is happening rather fast. All being well we should be moving in just two weeks time! Meaning that I have only two weeks to pack up 14 years worth of belongings and organise everything else that comes with moving home. Boring things like notifying everyone we are moving, sorting insurance - that kind of thing. Along with juggling three children, running a house and doing four nursery/ pre-school runs a day.

To be honest I am not entirely sure how I am going to manage to pull this off in such a short space of time. I haven't packed a single thing yet, although I have been collecting boxes and bubble wrap ready to start this weekend. I have also been on a mega de-cluttering spree, not that you can actually tell mind you as I am a bit of a hoarder if I am honest and have a lot of stuff. I have spent the last week cleaning every inch of this house, de-cluttering and worrying about the move which in turn has made me really unwell, I am typing this from my sick bed.

So things have been a bit busy, I have been so stressed and worried wondering how on earth I am going to manage to get everything done in time, I am sure I will manage somehow, though. I think I am trying not to get my hopes up to much as we have not completed everything yet and we still need to sign some forms next week, to make everything legal. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that things get sorted very soon, though.

Our new house is not my dream home, but it is somewhere that I think is perfect for us as a family. It is not far from where we live now, in the same village we live in. It is really really close to the local primary school that my children will attend and the neighbours seem really nice. It is also much bigger than the house we have now, we so desperately need the extra space. It does need some work doing to it though as it is a bit old fashioned inside and not really my taste.

Anyway, I am waffling on, I am really bad for doing that. So things will be a little quiet around here and on my social media lately. I do have some outstanding reviews that shall be going up over the next couple of weeks and also a few guest posts from some lovely bloggers, as I will  be without the internet for a short while when we move. If anyone else would like to guest post for me then I would be more than happy to have you (shameless plea). Also if you have emailed me lately I am super sorry and will get back to you over the weekend, I have so many emails in my inbox and I have not read any of them yet.

I will be sure to keep you all updated on the move and the new house etc. If anyone has any tips on packing, moving with small children or anything like that then please let me know as I need all the tips I can get.

  6. How exciting about the house move! I totally get it about the "finding time to blog". My eldest started preschool at the beginning of September and somehow I feel like I have less time?!
