We were recently sent some candles to review from PartyLite, a brand that I will be honest and say that I had never heard of before. A quick browse of their website and I soon realised that they sell a whole range of candle related products. Anyone who knows me knows that I love candles, I have many dotted all over the house and love nothing more then lighting them on an evening when I am relaxing. I think scented candles make the home smell so lovely and give it such a homely feel.
I was sent a range of different products from the PartyLite Autumn / Christmas range 2015. I was sent the 'Scented Mini Jar Candle Trio' which is priced at £24.95. A 'Warm Hearts Tealight Holder' priced at £13.95 and the 'Just Desserts Scented Mini Jar Candle Pair' priced at £15.95. As soon as I opened the box I could smell the candles but they were not over powering.
The first products I tried out were the 'Scented Mini Jar Candle Trio' this was a box of three mini candles which were actually bigger then I thought they would be. These looked really festive as they were in the red, white and green colour scheme often associated with Christmas, the glass jars the candles came in were also decorated with white snowflakes to complete the festive feel.
These candles were Iced Snowberries (white), Crimson Berry (red) and Emerald Balsam (green). The iced snowberries is my favourite out of these three as it smells sweet, although not to sweet and leaves a really nice smell even when you blow the candle out. This trio of candles is perfect for dotting around the home at Christmas time as they look and smell so festive. Although I think the price tag of £24.95 is probably a little more then I would expect to pay for these size of candles.
Next I tried out the 'Warm Hearts Tea light Holder' priced at £13.95 and I loved this as I love the design, and it is actually a really good size compared to other tea light holders I have owned as it is 7 cm high. This would look great at any time of year and I think it would be perfect in a bedroom. It is well made and is a lovely addition to use with tea lights.
Lastly I tried out the 'Just Desserts' candles this was two candles in patterned glass jars priced at £15.95. These came in the scents Nutcracker sweet and Sugarplum Fairies, I love the Nutcracker sweet one as it smells like Cinnamon and Christmas.
These candles all gave off a nice subtle scent when lit, they were easy to light and left a slight scent after use. The only thing I am a bit unsure of is that you have to order the candles online via a consultant rather then just buying them from PartyLite direct which I imagine would be easier. But they are nice candles and they do stock some nice looking products in their online catalogue, although as I mentioned some of the products are probably priced a little higher then I would personally expect to pay.
Have you tried out PartyLite candles before ?
Disclosure We were sent these products in exchange for this review, however all opinions are my own.
